I checked in on Sunday evening, according to my booking confirmation it was possible to check in between 15:00 and 19:00 I arrived around 18:15 and no one was there, except for a family that wanted to check in as well. It took a lot of calls and messages till after almost 45 minutes finally someone came. He was not very friendly but almost yelled at us for being too late. Apparently he had waited till 5 and then had gone home, which is a bit weird because if you still expect some guests, why not call them and ask about their arrival times? The showers were not very clean and I don't think the toilets have been cleaned during my 3-night stay. I can't blame the hotel for dirty guests peeing on the floor, but 2 days later I could still see the remains.

Personally I don't need a television in my room or my own bathroom, so I'm happy to see that hotels like these still exist. The hotel could be so much better though, just a bit of love, some detergents and better communication and it could easily become a 7 or 8

The room smelled like hell and we were supposed to have breakfast at 08:00 but there was nobody, we even couldn't leave the hotel because the door was locked.

Room was advertised to have a balcony. On arrival we found out by ourselves that the doorhandle was broken and falling to bits. So it was unusable. We still managed to get onto it by our own methods ;) (safely and without damaging anything). The locks for the hotelroom and shared bathroom are the same, possibly implying that it could also be used on other people's hotelrooms (we did not check).

The hotel was in a nice spot near the center. It was not very expensive/relatively cheap. The staff although not fluent in English was very nice and kind. The room was decent, the bed was comfy enough, we had a sink in the room which was nice. There was a decently sized closet and a mini fridge we could use to chill some stuff. The balcony gave a nice little view over the town. Also there were extra pillows and warmer blankets in the closer which were great during the colder night. Since the hotel is also a cafe, there was a great spot the have some drinks in the evening.

The owner, when struggling to find my bookings, asked "Do you understand Engleesh?" (I am English, and can also speak a little of Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish) "Are you stupide?!" which I thought was unnecessary.

An economical choice for me.., I'd been camping and then staying on my daughter's sofa, so a bed would be an upgrade.

Unfortunately, there was a scam. When choosing a hotel, it was indicated that the shower and toilet were in the room. but unfortunately, it turned out to be a lie. He was in the corridor and was common.

Did not appreciate that the hotel was left all open by itself and that the owner did not manage things with the employee who was present in the village that morning. No one should leave a hotel unmanned like this.

The location was perfect close to everything including the bus stop at Vianden Breck. The bed was fine. However big issue with the "plug-in" toilets we could not use ! Plus plugs far too close to the shower and electrical installation did not feel safe at all. The serving staff in the evening was very nice, polite and professional. Big mishap with breakfast in the morning and we had none. Our plans and timing were kind of ruined for the morning as we waited with other guests for breakfast which never happened. We were told it was because someone from the hotel had a car accident but we saw en employee later on who then was present in the village and could have taken care of guests waiting all alone in those circumstances. She even took the bus with us that morning...

Upon arrival hotel was locked. There was a note on the door saying we had to phone a certain number. On that number no answer. Then we phoned different number (number on booking.com papers) and after 10 minutes or so someone came to open the door and show us our room.

Location is perfect right in the city center, staff friendly. Price relatively low so good value for money. Bathrooms are shared but that was clearly mentioned while booking. Our room did have a nice view and a big balcony.

The host was friendly, the hotel is well located, the room is correct, the bed correct, the room and the shared bathroom could be cleaner, but the were correct. The breakfast is simple but very nice for the price of the room, the croissant was very big and delicious!

No facilities, such as tv, kettle, shared bathroom, Wooden floors through out so it was noisy when the family were moving around at 7am. I feel it was overpriced compared to the accomodation we stayed at in Luxembourg city. Very basic.

Hygiene was really bad.The shower and toilet(shared)on same lvl was filthy and not doable.We never met any staff not entering or leaving the hotel.The location and view is good but the room also not really clean and hygiene and needs some work.The room are really noisy and the peoples constant coughing and sex every 48 hours wich almost felt like in our own room was annying and we rarely complain.So not again for me but further we had a nice time in VIANDEN.But never a shared bathroom again.No new towels or room clean up either we stayed 4 nights.

The hotel is ideally located and super easy to find. The guy is really friendly and helpful and the whole place has a relaxed vibe. For the price, it's hard to complain.
