Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaLike in many similar historic buildings there was some minor problems with the water pressure in the bathroom but it is pretty common for such type of hotels
Perfect location for visiting lantern festival in winter. It is our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first one. The interior design is made according to the overall style of the building and the room has many beautiful items like decorations, embroidery, tableware, pieces of furniture, etc. The breakfast was varied with many local products served in historic utensils. Gramophone music accompanying the breakfast was touching indeed . Nice place for overnight stay and enjoying the authentic atmosphere.

Characterful period farmhouse-style property filled with antique furniture. Very helpful & informative host who gave us a unique welcome . Lovely restaurant a few metres away. The Saturday night meal was a huge buffet with multiple courses but it was possible to have a smaller plate. Very friendly service. Great breakfast . This is part of a larger Manor House enclave with a grand hotel ( only open in the summer) .

LithuaniaThe room was a bit cold at night, some extra duvets would have been useful.
Location is lovely: beautiful nature around the hotel, a few minutes on foot to Pakruojis Manor. Room was small but cosy and had a nice vintage atmosphere. Staff deserves an extra word as the receptionist lady was super friendly and my requests prior to the visit were flexibly accomodated. Breakfast served next door at Traktierius was superb: true lithuanian ones, delicious and lots of choices.

Hotel is a perfect location to stay, if You want to visit Pakruojas Manor without need to rush, to see beautiful flower festival in summer of light festival in winter. The hotel is located in a historic house, it has its own special charm, enhanced by antique furniture. Our room was well equipped, had a nice view to the lake and we felt comfortable. Lady at reception was very helpful, she offered us as hotel guests an option to book a New Year Eve's dinner at restaurant nearby (good breakfast is also server there). We are very satisfied with the choice we did.

Lithuaniathere was dust; also we stayed in December, it was cold in the bathroom and also very windy from the window so was not comfortable to sleep; not comfy pillows. All in all maybe worth money during warm season but in the cold season price should be less

A great place to stay while visiting the Festival of Lights in Pokruojis Manor. The room is furnished in an old-fashioned style. Good breakfast in the nearby tavern. Surprised an interesting check-in ritual at the hotel. The hotel has free parking lot.

LithuaniaHeating in our room was not working, but the girl from reception brought us another radiator, so it was ok (although in the toulet/shower was still quite cold). The walls are very thin, we could hear everything neighbours were talking about :)
Pakruojo dvaras is an amazing, very very beatiful place with a lot of very specific, interesting attractions all year round. You can walk near the lake in the calm, peacefull gardens with beatiful statues around. The place to eat is two minutes walk, in the next building. It’s very special atmosphere they create there. The room is clean with antique furniture, curtains, etc. We tried to drink water from the tube and it seems it’s really good. But the best words goes to ‘Pakruojo dvaras’ emploees - actors, who are making every stay unforgetable!

GermanyNothing we didn’t like
Simply wonderful amazing place; the absolute highlight of our trip to Lithuania. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, you’re greeted with award-winning, home-distilled liquor when you arrive, the bedrooms are Baltic German nobility style (so e.g. no TV or electronic gadgets, though there is wifi). The manor also has lots of things: a distillery, two cafés, horseriding, for some reason there’s even a camel! There’s also a beautiful park with strange statues; very eclectic. Absolutely fantastic was the breakfast!

United StatesNothing against the property itself but I feel like on Booking it is a bit confusing because it is called the Manor Hotel on here but where we stayed was the Miller House also on the Manor property. After being there it is clear you can stay at both but it is not clear on Booking where you will be staying.
The location was very charming and peaceful. Beautiful ivy and flowers covered the building. The picnic tables with mini gardens were unique and lovely. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety. It just spilled charm all over the place.

EstoniaBreakfast was tasteful and plentiful to get you filled and ready for the day. We loved the coffee and honey cake! Location was somewhat remote, but in a good and private way. A city was close with a 25min walk. The house and room were thematic and tasteful, in a way that makes you feel important, but also relaxed.
