How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The swimming pool area is rather small

A small breakfast selection. Some noise from other rooms.
Nice view from room. The staff is exceptionally great and very friendly. The pool and saunas are great. The bed is comfortable. Good value for price.

As this is more sanatorium not a hotel, the restaurant facilities there poor, I mean they are serving full board for those who are on they rehabilitation here so if you are not and just staying at hotel you are basically ignored during the lunch and dinner. Also the menu is quite poor.
The biggest plus for this hotel is the pool and saunas. Even if the Druskininkai is a Spa Town not all hotels have a swiming pools.

They asked to pay extra for the kid, in the offer it was writen, that childs stay for free. Employers with bad comunication skills

Could only use the swimming pool once a day.
The rooms were brilliant, bed comfy and clean. The treatments were so good and reasonably priced. The swimming pool was great too. We went into Druskininkai which was roughly 9 minute drive and managed to park up and go for a wonder. Will be visiting again.

The only minus for being really nice stay is thin walls in the room, I don't want to hear my neighbour's video call or peeing in the loo.
Lobby is nice and warm, the room was big and comfortable, view from the top floor was open and colourful. We enjoyed the stay and spa area, good temperature in the pool and sauna. Breakfast was typical Lithuanian feast from cottage cheese pancakes to herring salad, so either you like it or not, but coffee was strong and tasty. We enjoyed shiatsu and Thai massages and "dry water bed" as well. The mini holidays was really nice!

Awful coffee from the coffee machines destroys a decent breakfast experience... Also, the "double bed" is extremely uncomfortable as it is just two single beds put together to look like a double bed.
We liked the facilities in general, the SPA zone and comfort to reach SPA and other procedures with a robe from the room. The price and availability of various health procedures is great. The staff of reception and restaurant is very helpfull.

Broken light bulb at the bed, too small pillows and no extra pillows in the room, hidden tea cups, no instant coffee, water bottles which you cannot open using all your strength.

The only language you can hear all around is russian - unfortunately a big minus, yet you can’t adjust that. Also breakfast selection was a bit strange, but you can understand that with russian speaking guests.
Lots of older people and not many kids - a big advantage over other SPAs. The pool is very warm, we liked that very much.

As Upa is on the outskirts of the city, you have to be fast to get a bike in the morning ))

a bit remote location from the town, but on the other hand it is located in very peaceful forest, 30 mins away (on foot). The coffee at breakfast was very sad experience - I was looking for cappuccino and the only alternative was coffee with milk from the machine, and the second day I was not able to finish it. Instead I asked the barista for proper one and paid extra.
Spa and pool are great, and can be accessed any time of the day, even multiple times per day.

A little bit far from centre. A lot of old people staying for treatment, so the environment it’s more suitible for treatment rather than pleasure.

Shuttles service to the town centre could have been a good idea.
Spa services were rather extensive, nice hotel location (near lake) but a little bit far from city center, so you need a car or bus to get there. On the whole an enjoyable vacation!
