How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Be careful if you book an attic room. The ceilings are good low, so we ended up bumping our heads pretty often.
Great location right near town. A very modern and clean hotel. Would recommend.

Parking is an issue. The receptionist was unable to explain it properly. They have a marked area outside where you can park for €10 a day. However it is both small and used by staff and conference guests so we had no chance. In the street, there are spaces but you have to pay in cash so be prepared with lots of coins! Expensive for Lithuania.
This is an amazing rebuild of a warehouse with great attention to the architectural detail. Lovely to look at. Rooms had no temperature control but was always at a nice temperature, without noise or draught. Bathroom had a window!! Excellent lighting too. Fridge and coffee machine - no kettle or iron Breakfast is ordered the night before and is served. Variety is OK but after 3 nights, a bit limited. Very quiet rooms too .

Not much room for improvement. When construction is finished it will surely get livelier and more exciting.
Brand new hotel in old warehouse in the old harbour of Klaipeda. Very spacious well laid out rooms. Comfortable beds and a big bathroom. Quiet neighbourhood and free parking.

We arrived at 08.50 at the restaurant, asked when they close. Answer was 10 pm. Had a drink and 9.15 pm we asked fort the menu, answer was “the kitchen closes at 9 pm, only with a lot of persuading we managed to get a meal!

The double bed and the bedding could have been bigger. Otherwise no additional comments.
Great location - next to the marina and just a few minutes by foot to the old town. The room was quiet and cozy, the hotel did feel like a boutique one - very unique, relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very helpful. I loved the light switches (tumbler switches instead of the regular "buttons"). It was very quiet, but that could be because we were in the off season and it felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. We did not have breakfast at the hotel

Great location. Very quiet, close to the city center and everything you need. The staff there is friendly. The hotel restaurant has excellent service and very tasty dishes.

Attic rooms have that feeling of low ceiling though I am not very tall but still had to always bow my head. Surely it is a very little thing to mention
We love the atmosphere, perfectly located, very supportive staff, building with history and authenticity.

There is one bit annoying thing - creaking floors in the room (I have been in 4 rooms and each of them have it). I understand it is a historical building but still it felt as a disadvantage this time
It is mot the first time I choose to stay in this hotel. I love its cozy, small, very authentic, in the best possible location and staff is super amazing

One thing is a must at Michaelson - it is breakfast. The best in the country. Location, ambience, staff - I will come back here again.

Nothing it was great.
The bathroom was fantastic it all worked and was designed beautifully. our room overlooked the harbour. Parking was available at the front of the hotel. Overall its very stylish and functional accommodation. well located to the town and ferry to the island. we loved it.

Unfortunately the tourism season was over during my visit. The winter is coming!
Brekafast is exceptionally good, but for my opinion too much per person. The best feautures of the hotel are location, good kitchen and restaurant and very-very friendly staff.

Everything was just perfect.
Great hotel, beautiful design, perfect breakfast, excellent service, top location - we stayed for three nights there and were just overwhelmed with all around service, incl. any additional our wishes and requests. A very big thank you to the hotel’s staff, starting from the receptionists, cooks, witresses, and ending the cleaning ladies. We will come there definitely again.
