The owner was so welcoming and a lot of fun. A lovely man. The hotel is in a quiet but convenient area and it is great value for money. The evening buffet was delicious!

Old and dusty furniture and facilities,the shower water leakage has a problem, door of shower room squeezes back automatically when open,making lots of noises. Although I ordered this room at usd28.35+usd 3 tax from the Booking,finally I was charged by the host over 11,000lkr.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like anything but it is basic in nature. It is quirky and possibly in need a lick of paint however none of that distracted from our stay

The views are amazing, the staff are lovely and the host is very warm and entertaining. The food was amazing, lots of new ingredients. Evening meals are a must try when you stay. I Would definitely drop back in if visiting Kandy again, xxxx

Owner was quite grumpy, breakfast was just toast with 1 egg, room was quite old, toilet did not work very well, quite the climb up to this place! Very steep

We stayed in the top floor room and it was a big room with a great view over kandy - really nice. The host was very welcoming and we had the chance to have dinner and try the several specialties they prepare on their buffet (very complete).

The food was sensational!! Dinner buffet meal of delicious veggie specialities that we haven't had anywhere else. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and we had a fabulous sleep. Large bathroom with the best shower we have had in Sri Lanka so far.

- hidden fees and worse exchange rate compared to latest official exchange rate if you pay in LKR (expect to pay about 15-20% more than price on booking) - holes in mosquito net and no towels in the room - awkward attempt to sell a tour with a tuk tuk driver who was connected to the guesthouse

the rooms are simple and bathrooms basic but I think this is reflected in the room rate.

well located on the hillside above Kandy and easy to walk or take tuk tuk down to lake. great view from our top floor room. comfortable beds, very clean rooms. the owners Sue and Faisal were super friendly and helpful with advice and we arranged a tour through them. we also enjoyed the Sri Kansan curry buffet in the evening.

The bathrooms could get a little turnover.

The very best was the dinner Sue made! They served like 12 different curry’s with rice! The were all vegan except for one chicken dish. It was arranged as a buffet and was sooo soo good! Even if you don’t stay here over night, just go there for dinner! But make sure to call first! Breaksfast was also very good. Western style. And sadly a new hotel opened right down the street and they played very loud music. I for myself wasn’t bothered by that. They stoppen playing at around 12pm. The morning were quiet.

very nice hotel, wonderful dinner, nice view, nice area, not too far from the town (~20’ by foot) Sue is very friendly and gives good advice. there is a mosquito net for the bed and security lockers are available.

Wifi really bad, couldn't pay by card and roof top restaurant for the buffet dinner not available. Also, no beer...not huge issues, but when your paying $60+ a night expect these things to be available.

Would have been useful to have him help us with the train schedule - it was delayed by quite a bit and I didn't know how to check. Also, he seemed strangely uninterested in the Temple of the Tooth, telling us not to bother with the drum ritual. We went anyway, and I think it is Kandy's most famous attraction for a reason.

Curry dinner was pretty good. Owner was a bit gruff but a likeable character.
