We had difficulties with Wi-Fi. But this is a common problem in Sri Lanka. One time our air conditioner broke down and we waited all day for it to be fixed. Some problems always happen in life, but overall we were very pleased.

Sit down, it's a long story =) We stayed for almost two weeks with my family of 8 people. We rented 4 rooms. Our rooms were next to each other on the second floor, and we could spend the evenings together on the balconies. I liked the location of the hotel - close to both the main road and the beach. The room was cleaned at our request. The room has everything you need: iron, kettle, refrigerator. On the one hand, the rooms are arranged quite simply, on the other hand, there was enough everything. Of course, there are many animals around the hotel that you can watch: peacocks, small birds, chipmunks, several species of monkeys. This place is also a restaurant. We had lunch here several times - very tasty and beautifully served. My personal favorites are the tuna sashimi and tom yum. In the evenings there is often live music, but this does not disturb the room at all. And, by the way, an awesome selection of Britpop music plays all day long, special respect for that! Cool place, we liked it.

Wonderful products in the bathroom including hair conditioner and shampoo. Very large room with balcony and wet room, fridge, hairdryer and kettle. Great food.

Super comfortable, fresh and clean.. even shampoo, conditioner, hand and body soap available as facilities. Welcome juice and smiles. Good breakfast at convenience. The restaurant serves great fish also.

Power cut on arrival but sorted very quickly. Very hot shower but we managed.

Hot water was hit and miss and wifi was poor . We had an electric problem but through no fault of the place and was fixed the morning after . The rooms wasn't cleaned or beds changed and we stayed for a week . Also the toilet was a bit wobbly

Remember that the rooms are just above a busy restaurant, so it's noisy till late, though we were okay with this, so no negative to mention here, all was great.

Great location with a lovely, spacious room. The biggest bed that we had in Sri Lanka. Loved the brand new shower unit in the bathroom and the balcony with the seating area. The best part, though, was the super delicious breakfast 😋 We opted to the smashed avo with fried eggs, toast and onion & tomato salsa. It was really amazing and super delicious. Also got coffee with milk and fresh juice too. We liked that we were able to check in earlier than anticipated. It's always a nice surprise. Another bonus is that you can pay by card and no extra surcharge on card usage 🙌

Since there is fish stall in the entrance, sometimes it makes some smell , but it was not a major issue for the stay

We simply loved our stay here! The room was big and clean. Bathroom was great with a good hot shower and free shampoo, conditioner etc. the balcony was nice to sit and relax and we enjoyed both fridge and kettle in the room. The breakfast was amazing with a choice of avocado toast or pancakes and a fresh juice and coffee on the side. The staff is simply lovely! We highly recommend and also recommend to eat at the restaurant!

we stayed at daffodil for 4 nights as part of our Sri Lanka trip. welcomed by owners Kerry and Raji. Room was lovely, clean and basic, perfect for us. the restaurant and bar is exceptional, fabulous fresh fish to choose every evening and great bar area to chill and people watch. This has to be the best restaurant in Unawatuna for us. perfect location in the Main Street. we highly recommend. thank you to the team for making our stay fabulous
