- its quite a bit distanced to the City centre, you have to walk about 20 min. Up/downhill - we rented a scooter but its a difficult way , so you really have to be comfortable in driving - the shower was in the middle of the bath, after showering everything was wet

- we felt very warm welcomed, the family is so kind and lovely - Breakfast was huge, tasty - the rooms are big enough and you have a nice view of the Mountains and waterfall - there is a nice terrasse to hang out

This wasn’t a downside for us but consider that it’s a bit of a walk to restaurants and everything but with tuk tuk it takes only 5 minutes to the Main Street

Amazing and very romantic place to stay in Ella! The view from the room and from the rooftop terrace where the breakfast is served is stunning, you can see the waterfall. Nice and filling breakfast every morning, perfect for a day of hiking. The host is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, so sweet and attentive, he drove us into the town by tuktuk when we needed it and helped us with everything. You can also walk to Ella within 15 mins over the train tracks which is cool. Great location to start a hike to Ella Rock. We loved it and would come back anytime! Thanks for everything!!

We forgot to check that the accommodation is located almost on the end of a road pretty far away from the city centre. You pretty much have to walk in the morning 15 minutes to get to the centre to get a ride somewhere, because you cannot find one there.

Very nice family, and perfect location in front of the cascade. You can go to Ella's peak directly from the house. You can also relax on the terrasse at the top. From Ella's center you can reach it in 20mns walk or 10mns tuk tuk

Cascade Valley is an amazing place to stay if you want to enjoy nice views on the surrounding mountains, and sip a cup of tea while listening to the sounds of nature. The hotel is run by a local family, the hosts were incredibly nice and kind. The place is only 15 minutes walking from Ella’s center (please notice it’s up-hill), and you can take a tuk tuk to drive back at night. Breakfast was served on the beautiful terrace, and was real good. The beds are equipped with a mosquito net (you’re in nature so there might be some insects or little frogs entering the room).

Very nice, comfy bed, the room was super cute! No need for A/C as Ella is higher altitude and not so hot. I liked my stay. The owners were super helpful and nice, authentic people with good heart! At the breakfast I got always a flower on my hair. I liked my stay a lot, even thou the walking to the city took some time. (but you can actually have a shortcut on the train rails, it brings you quickly to Ella's trainstation and you are already in the city. (I wish I could have known this earlier that I actually did) The VIEW at the hotel is breathtaking!!! You wake up seeing this absolutely gorgeous view and you hear the waterfall. The "balcony" is shared, not private balcony as it serves a walk way too. Overall I loved my stay! Thank you!

It is a bit far from the city but with a TukTuk easy to do.

The view was incredible, we had a room at the top floor en enjoyed the view everyday. The staff (a couple) were very nice towards both us as the children. The breakfast in the morning was really nice. The owner even brought us to the town on multiple occasions.

This place is a piece of paradise! Very sweet owners who took care of us as we eventually got sick during our stay. And what can be better healing than a running waterfall that you can watch from your comfy bed? Great shower. Everything was just perfect!

-no water supplied in the room, so make sure you bring some with you. -not a negative but only type d plug used in the rooms so make sure you have that adapter with you.

-amazing view, the scenery is stunning. Peacocks flying around and the waterfall. -extremely friendly and helpful owners. -quiet area, away from the busy centre of Ella, but not too far to walk. Which means it is so peaceful. -excellent breakfast. -friendly dogs and a cat on site.

The hosts might be some of the most wonderful people we've met in this lifetime! <3 The place is wonderful, outside of Ellas busy center. Beautiful view from every balcony. The family is amazingly warm hearted. This morning we were leaving at 5:00 am and had a little accident with our own Tuktuk still near the homestay. When we woke up the host to get his help he was - even woken up this early - so ever friendly. Helped us out and 30 minutes later we were back on track. Wanted to give him money to thank him for all his help - he refused to take any. Thank you, thank you, thank you - can't thank you enough!

It's really far from the centre of Ella so you either have to get a tuktuk each time or walk (up and down hills) for just under 30 minutes each way.

Firstly, as others have mentioned, the views are amazing! Breakfast was cooked by the host too which was delicious. The host is really friendly.

Room is somewhat outdated but has everything you would need for a couple of nights.

Breathtaking view over the valley and waterfall. Lovely breakfast each morning and friendly owners who will make you feel welcome. The walk to the city center is about 15-20 minutes and partly over the railway, which adds to the experience. Perfect location if you want to stay in a more peace and quiet area.

Only negative is that it is like 20-30minutes walk uphill from ella, but there are TukTuk and Taxis who can get you there
