Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilWe arrived at the hotel at the time previously stated in the reservation, and after the hotel's scheduled check-in time, and we had to wait almost three hours to get into the room.
The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of room comfort, quality of meals, drinks and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times, whether in bars, restaurants, water activities, etc., helping us with transport to and from the airport, and they allowed us to have a two-hour 'late check-out' free of charge, as our flight was in the late afternoon. The dives, sailings and even tours scheduled with the partner company were all very good, organized, punctual and careful. Overall, one of the best 'all inclusive' hotels in terms of value for money that we've ever been to.

United StatesFood was ok. We travel a lot and the food was just mid level. The resort is a little run down and could use a face lift. Our checkout wasn’t correct the day before departure so we expressed our concern the night we received it and early the next morning but it was not resolved in time and our luggage arrived 30 minutes late and our transport was irritated with us! Not ok.
Staff was amazing!!! Pricilla at the buffet always had a smile and made my mornings! Keisun was always having us dancing. Our room was amazing with a great porch and we loved the cats!

United StatesResort could use some updates. The food was mediocre and there isn’t much to do beyond the pool. Entertainment could have been better. It was a bummer that the golf course was closed.
Amazing beach. Incredible staff. The pizza place is great!

United StatesThere are not enough lounge chairs for the guests staying there. If you wanted a pool side seat you needed to get there early to claim one. Beach spots didn’t fill as early but they did eventually fill up especially the ones with shade.
This was a very fun resort to stay at. You could always find activities to engage in during the day and evening or you could find quiet places to relax, best of both worlds. The property and staff exceeded our expectations.

United KingdomFirst bedroom was noisy (bottle bank emptying at 3am was sub-optimal) but Joachim changed that for us. It gets a bit rowdy in the main pool after the sherberts have been flowing, but there are a number of quieter areas around the complex.
Great location. Great staff. Great weather. Sea kayaks and hobby cats were great fun.

United KingdomBeach was unusable due to constant high waves. Never had a day when the red flag was not flying. Due to orientation of the beach, I doubt it is ever usable.
Sandals did us proud with a super wedding in their garden gazebo. Good that we could visit the other two Sandals resorts (Grande & Halcyon) which both had better beaches.

United KingdomThe apartment was a bit tired and although the food was good, many restaurants stopped serving at 9pm. This was maybe due to Covid restrictions. Not much 'nightlife' other than the main Pavilion entertainment which seemed to consist of singalongs and competitions.
We loved the location, the food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. It was not as 'posh' as we'd feared. Most restaurants were very casual and only one needed semi formal dress (no jeans).

United KingdomUnfortunately some staff at the bars need to rediscover 5 star manners, a simple "thank you" and "excuse me" would of been appreciated at times and this detracts from the great work of the majority of the staff. The Pitons restaurant was disappointing. The bathroom sink needed a better clean in the hard to reach areas.
A great main large pool situated just by the beach with a good second pool that has great views. Good quality food and beverages with the Sushi bar being a stand out with great staff.

United States- The surf at the beach is fairly aggressive - much moreso than the Grande location. As a result, most of the included water sports are not available at this location. Even at the Grande some "included" water sports (jet ski) are an additional fee and offered by an outside company. - You can only make dinner reservations once physically at the resort. Since we were only staying for four nights, this meant that some restaurants were already fully-booked for the duration of our stay. - We were informed that checkout time was 11am but our airport transfer didn't depart until 1:30pm. We planned to spend the day at the pool and then use a public shower before departing. The staff neglected to tell us that the shower has no towels or toiletries. When we asked for assistance the staff member asked us why we didn't just request a late checkout and keep our room/shower - if that was an option why weren't we told? Better yet, why didn't they simply offer it up-front, knowing that our airport transfer was scheduled for a couple of hours after check-out? - Quality of drinks is wildly inconsistent, as-is the strength. Unless you are specific, expect a very weak drink. - The earliest shuttle to other locations departs La Toc at 11am. This means you have virtually no shot at getting a chair by the time you arrive. - Speaking of chairs, Butlers reserve most of the best chairs for their guests at the crack of dawn even though the guests don't show up until lunchtime. Similarly, non-butler guests think they can wake up at 7am, leave a towel on a chair, go back to sleep, and come back in 4 hours. Terrible system all around but not a problem unique to Sandals. - Limited/Inconsistent waiter service at the pool for non-Butler guests. - Many restaurants have unique drink menus but you don't know unless you ask to see it. - Hidden fee on our bill at the end of our stay for some kind of St Lucia tourism fund.
- Good variety of food, even if the quality is only so-so. - The hibachi restaurant, Kimono, is quite good. - Most of the staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating.

United StatesI was not pleased with the beach as the waves were too big to even swim in, the service from the concierge (I had to remind them 5 times of our honeymoon package), or the cleanliness of the resort (There were lots of flies). If you are coming to St. Lucia, I would recommend the other sandals (Grand and Halycon) as those were beautiful and clean and would not bother with LA TOC.
I liked that it was an all inclusive resort and the options they had for restaurants. They had french, italian, pizza, american, etc.

United KingdomThe main pool and bar area was way too small for the size of hotel, there was a 6am rush for sun beds every morning. Due to the cramped feel of the main area it was very loud and looked a mess. The food in all but the Sushi restaurant was pretty much the same but labelled differently so this was disappointing. The rooms were disappointing, many had no balcony or outdoor seating so there was nowhere in the hotel to enjoy a quiet drink. The staff were very pushy with trying to upsell and the additional extras felt overpriced. There was no waiter service available around the pool or beach areas unless you paid for a personal butler. On the occasions we asked the reception staff or management for assistance we were left feeling like we were the room that time forgot.
The selection of drinks at the bar was good and the sushi restaurant was excellent.
