The view was not that satisfying as our windows were looking at east instead of south.

The breakfast is good. The place itself has a lot of history. The nearby Panfilov park is beautiful and the Arasan baths are great.

The hotel is located in Central Almaty and is close to the iconic Kok Tobe. Restaurants like Noodles and Navat are very closely. Yandex Taxis were able to reach with ease. The best part was most staff spoke English. Not very expensive too. Lavish breakfast buffet was the best part about this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located with access to all main attractions of the city. If you are comfortable walking, you can cover all the main attractions like war monument, cathedral church, Independence monument in a day with eve visit to Kok robe hill. The cable car for Kok Tobe hill is 300 mts away from hotel. Also there are quite few restaurants which are available till late night or 24/7. Overall the experience is amazing.

Breakfast was terrible… absolutely terrible!! The food was extremely limited and very unappealing over represented with bread and pastries choices. The waiters didn’t do their jobs of cleaning away dishes or resetting tables… missing forks or spoons. They hide in corners looking at their phones, others stood in daze constantly yawning and unattractive to the room.

I originally had stayed in a hotel right next to this one but had to extend my stay for 2 days. I saw that the KZ hotel was cheaper so I decided to stay here instead and this is what that got me: - ZERO wi-fi (not in the reception, not in the room). - Not the most affectious staff and the English level is not enough to help out with more detailed enquiries. - Rooms that feel and look old and musty and that have zero soundproof. - Asked in reception if the hotel had a bar to have a drink. Was explained that on the 26th floor there was a bar. Go there and an incredibly rude lady orders us that we can't have a drink there (why, she doesn't feel like it to explain it to me...just no). So all in all, if any of the above matters to you, for a few extra bucks you can choose other options in the area.

Landmark of the city of Almaty, this hotel and it's history feels like something you need to experience. While it's glory is certainly behind, it still holds a bit of cache. The breakfast is one of the best parts of the stay.

The room was uncomfortably hot despite the -8 weather outside. Staff couldn't assist with the heat issue. The outdated air conditioning was not sufficient to cool the suite, and we had to keep two windows open in -8°C weather. The property is quite old, and the description of the queen suite was misleading as it only had one bedroom with a door and no lock, leaving the other bed in the living cum dining room without privacy. Grateful it was just a one-night stay.

The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of food options.

If your Room in high floor above 20 it's Noisy cause there is a night club on the 26 floor you couldn't sleep the music in your head

We booked a queen suite which has 2 rooms. One room had an AC & a bathroom but the other room did not have an ac & didnt not have a bathroom which was not convenient.

The breakfast was brilliant and the hotel in general was very comfortable - kept the original charm but with lots of modern comforts. The room was fantastic and the view superb. It was quiet, room service was great, and the location perfect for exploring the city.
