I recently stayed at Friends Hostel in Astana for 2 nights, and it was exceptional. I loved the stay and have no negatives to mention. Staff:The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, with a special mention to Mr. Paul at reception who was amazing and spoke English quite well with assistance of Translator app. Comfort: The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Facilities and Service: Excellent facilities and service. The hostel offers great value for money with free high-speed WiFi, free laundry, and complimentary coffee and tea available at all times. Security: Extra security measures were in place, with the main gate and hostel door being password protected, and each individual having their own password. Hospitality: The hospitality was top-notch, with the owner even driving me and my hostel mate to the National Museum. Environment:It was a very quiet place, perfect for relaxation. I also met some amazing people during my stay. Overall, Friends Hostel provided an exceptional experience, combining comfort, security, and excellent service. It's definitely worth it.

The bathrooms could be freshened up and little cleaner

Bed was confortable. Location is good, next to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Also close to bus stations that takes you to the city center. The common area is clean and convenient. The owner was really nice, available and helpful (he even gave me a ride to city). Very good value for the price.

The hostel was great for what we needed. The people and staff were very friendly, giving us great recommendations and tips about our stay and further travels around the area. The room was clean and organised, with lockers next to bed and space for all bags, and with comfy beds. The communal space was bright and inviting, with a filter tap to drink the water from, and with free tea and coffee to have, and the facilities (kitchen and bathrooms) were clean and well maintained.

The guy working there was quite helpful and friendly. It was quite warm inside and he was willing to be help with anything really. I felt quite comfortable there.

Rustam the owner is the most friendly person i have ever met in a hostel.He really gives everything to make the guest happy..and the name of the Hostel -Friends-totally describes the atmosphere that we wants to present.He pick me up and return me in a snowstorm to the airport. He cleaned my clothes for free.. If you go to Astana you will not find better person

The bathroom is a bit small, but hey for the money I can’t complain much.

It’s very clean, the host is amazing and very friendly. The beds are nice and comfortable, in terms of security the front door has a passkey so it’s very safe and you get a locker for yourself.

One of the best hostels that I've had the pleasure of staying at! Beds are very comfortable, spacious common area with a kitchen is nice for hanging out. Convenient central location with bus stops nearby that can take you wherever you need.

Astana is a pretty big city, so be prepared to use public transport or taxi (pretty affordable) to resch the main sights.

A very new nice small hostel with a very friendly and helpful host. The location is pretty convenient with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. It's also a walking distance from the river embarkment, which offers a nice place to walk. The beds are super comfy, one of the best I've had in a hostel.
