Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyEverything is amazing. I gave it a 9 because location is a bit far from centre but easy enough by bus or taxi. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, a reflection of the wonderful manager. She is so kind and gentle and so generous with her time and attention. The place is amazing and so homey. Huge kitchen/dining area and comfortable sitting/social space. Mini market right next to it.

FranceI enjoyed the warm, welcoming of the receptionist, Rose. The bed was super comfortable, big room, quiet, big common area, super clean. I appreciate also a lot that the bed was already made, and to have a towel included. Supermarket next door.

RussiaI had a fantastic stay at this hostel, notable for its clean, fresh air and excellent location near a bus stop. The on-site store and vast coworking space were incredibly convenient, and the table tennis room added a fun touch. Above all, the staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

KazakhstanAmazing property and awesome hosts! The hostel has comfortable rooms, a spacious kitchen, a coworking place and several bathrooms with hairdryers. The location is also nice and it’s easy to get from the hostel to the city centre. Last but not least, there’s a shop nearby, which has almost anything you might need.

ItalyThere's no drying service for your clothes. The place is located in a lost place, even Kazakh people told me that they have never been to this area and it's indeed far from the center - Almaty is huge, though. I had a big problem at the beginning of my stay here: apparently you can't check-in later than 10PM, which I was not aware of as I didn't receive any message (even an automated one). I contacted the owner of the hostel the same day of my stay but I received no response, neither on Booking nor on Whatsapp. Apparently there are also two hostels, owned by the same owner, and the address is confused on maps. I ended up going to this other hostel, which was nowhere to be found and which didn't help me with the situation. I eventually found this place at 3AM. I called everybody but nobody responded. The door was luckily open, but no receptionist was there to attend me. One of the guests called him to check me in. The receptionist doesn't speak English. I then texted the owner, who gave me a really inappropriate attitude, but then excused herself and found a compromise with me. Finally, there is an inside pool, but it's empty.
Everything is extremely big - living room, rooms, bathrooms, co-working space... Yes, there is a co-working space! It's amazing for people who are travelling and working at the same time like me. The laundry service is for FREE! And they even give you powder for free for the first time. There's even an inside pool! Big kitchen, big dining room with lots of tables and chairs. The Wi-Fi connection is good, there are plugs everywhere for you to charge your laptop. After the problem with the owner, she gave me a discount on one of my nights there. The place is pretty hostel-like, people are ready to talk and stuff, and it really makes you feel at home.

FranceSo great! First the extraordinary hospitality from staff/owner and their enthusiasm: Aighirin was helpful and caring all the time and made me feel welcomed and at home. Assem, the owner, helped me with info and managed to get my pdf boarding card printed after trying for, I think, more than one hour. What else I enjoyed: - lots of space, room, kitchen, - perfectly clean, - absolute silence for a great sleep, - lighty, big windows everywhere - minimarket inside the hostel - comfortable bed, for a good sleep - small details that made my stay comfortable and easy: lockers, WiFi, power sockets, free tea, well equipped kitchen, towels, warm (outside temperature was down to minus 13 at night)

Malaysia1. Looks like a student hostel and don't expect more about cleanliness and tidiness 2. The shop owner/worker act like he's the boss or house owner and look down and didn't respect me as an Asian people. Maybe because I look young and look like a student..he'll treat better to white people..
