Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesKitchen is basically no existent. All kitchen appliances are super old and bare. You can't even make coffee because they don't provide the coffee filters for the machine...bread toaster will always trigger the fire alarm, happened to neighbors next door too. Bathroom is very small; hard to turn around even for very petite persons.
Location is perfect. Short walk across the main road to the Westin's beach and can use Westin's beach facilities. Westin gets very busy but has one of the best spots on the seven mile beach. Beds are spacious and comfortable.

FinlandWe might be mistaken but prices seemed to have risen. Caymanian dollars were converted to the USD by adding 20% plus service fees 16% so the bills kept adding up. We have visited over 80 countries including almost every Caribbean island and the most expensive seem to be Turks and Caicos, the Maldives and Grand Cayman. Another downside was the most senior beach ambassador at Westin giving us an attitude on our arrival day and not wanting to find us sunbeds. After some hassle it was sorted out but it left us wondering whether the new system really works. It would be a good idea to have more Security guards checking who’s entering the premises. There was one but he did not stop or check anyone.
This was our third visit and the first after the covid. When we arrived pre Christmas most units were still empty but every day there were more and more guests which added to the budy and vibrant holiday vibe. Our unit was very functional for a party of 3. Sunshine Suites and Westin are at the best spot on the beach. Further down there is beach erosion and northbound the beach is still ok but as beautiful as at Westin. This time we did not rent a car but ventured almost everehere on foot. On our previous visits we always bought our snacks at Cost U Less which is licated only steps away but this time we also walked to Foster’s at Camana Bay which did not take long and constituted a part of our exercise routine. We even tested the public bus for the first time enroute George Town and that, too, was great fun, very clean, quick and running every 5 minutes.

United StatesThe housekeeping/cleanliness was so-so. Maid replaced towels and made the bed, but never once wiped off table with rings or crumbs on it. Bathroom floor looked ok, but when I wiped it off with a wet towel it was filthy, carpet felt sticky!
The location is pretty good. The best part was the reciprocal use of the Westin facilities.

United StatesResort fees? No Uber. Taxi or rental. Chickens are annoying in the morning :/. Lots of fees. I would have like more availability for coffee as an early riser. More help planning outing
Sunshine grill is great! Staff nice. Pool clean. Simple hotel. Great walkable location. Towels and blow dryer available. You can rent snorkel gear and more have it delivered and picked up from hotel. Across the street from beach with crosswalk. Easy breezy! I will definitely return. Everything is expensive in Grand Cayman but it’s a beautiful place and great customer service.

United KingdomSlight intermittent damp smell in the room, might be from the air conditioner.
Comfortable rooms. Kitchenettes were good and very convenient to have especially given how expensive restaurants are on in the Cayman Islands. Very close to the Westin and its beautiful beach.

LuxembourgA word of caution: when the front desk books taxis, sometimes the taxi is incredibly sketchy. It reflects badly on the hotel that they allow guests to get into such taxis. If the car is old and a mess inside, and the driver seems strange, get them to call another one (apart from risking your life, you will definitely get ripped off)
Having stayed in pretty much every hotel on the island over the past 15 years, I still believe Sunshine Suites is the best choice. (There are nicer hotels, but none of them are really any good, and their prices are outrageous for what they are.) The rooms are a bit dated but perfectly comfortable and usually pretty quiet. I like having a big fridge and a small kitchenette. The Sunshine Grill is a nice place for dinner, including at the bar, and the breakfast is excellent. The great advantage is guests can use the Weston’s facilities and beach (although in my opinion the small pool at Sunshine Suites is nicer because it is less crowded)

CanadaOnly to help you possibly imporve--the drapes were too short to shut out the light. The room had a musty smell. The bathroom fan was not working. The "dining" chairs were far too low for the table height and the chairs were too large and cumbersome for the size of the room. The fridge door should be changed to open from the right (ie hinges on the should be on the left). This is a simple procedures to change. Fridge has handles on both sides of the door for just sucg a change.
The room was quiet and all supplies were available as needed. The bed was very comfortable and the linens fresh.

FinlandThe staff was friendly and wellcoming but the one woman with rastas and dark skin at the breakfast made a big mess of our breakfast order . We had to call other members of staff to correct our order . She should consider whether to have a different occupation . Our door keys stopped to work one day early . We heard that we have checked out ?!?!?!?! When clearing our bill there was a summ of 150 cayman dollars wich was not ours . It had been put in our roomnumber at the westin´s . Luckily we had allmost at the same time lunch at the Grill and had it in the roombill .
