Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing.
It was beautiful. Cozy and everything was aesthetically pleasing. So private even though you’re right in the city. Also the hotel set me up with a driver and easily facilitated every request I had.

This hotel little saved our stay in Siem reap After spending one night in another hotel that was like a nightmare we choose to spend the rest of our SR trip in Viroth’s villa! Everything was perfect : the room is so clean and well decorated, the stuff is so helpful, the breakfast is delicious!! The hotel is well located also, 10 minutes walk from pub street Might seem a bit pricy compared to other hotel in SR but believe me it worths every penny

United KingdomA special thank you to the staff at Viroth's Villa who were so friendly, patient and helpful. They set a very high standard of service which is not replicable in most countries. The staff are able to deal with any last minute requests and are very attentive and still super friendly. Simply superb!!! It felt boutiquey and homely!

Everything! We had four nights here. Staff were delightful, always smiling, welcoming and extremely helpful. Always a cold towel for you when you got back from your trips out. Location was perfect in a quiet street but minutes away from the hustle and bustle and if you can’t find the energy to walk the hotel will call a tuktuk The hotel was very tranquil inside, a little oasis. It’s a small hotel which we liked because not swamped with guests. Good selection on food offering, breakfast was great and we tried lunch which was tasty. Good cocktails! Comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

FranceWe picked this hotel for its 1950s vibe. It offered more than we expected. Welcome drink and fruit platter. Cold towels every single time you walk in and mosquito repellent when you leave at night. Delicious breakfast with whatever you want to eat, from noodle soup to waffle, eggs and bacon or croissant. Great service to visit Angkor, reserve a tuktuk and a guide. Also great recommendations for restaurants. Nice swimming pool to cool down after tiring visits to Angkor.

Everything. Staff were wonderful, they were always attentive and welcoming. Food was good quality, nice cocktails and a good choice at breakfast. A great location, walkable to the main area but it felt very quiet and peaceful. As it is a small hotel it never felt busy with lots of people so was very relaxing. Everything spotlessly clean, lovely pool area.

RussiaVery nice and stylish hotel, very different from anything I ever stayed at. Even their Tuk-Tuk that I rented for Angkor tour is branded. Located in cozy neighborhood surrounded by coffee shops and cafes but still close to city centre. Top service from the minute of meeting in the airport till departure. There restaurant and cooker deserve special compliment. Dishes were not just tasty but served as an art piece.

SwitzerlandStaff is very friendly and helpful - but sometimes it felt (to me at least) a bit overdone. I once left and they all wished me a nice day, and when I forgot something and returned 2 minutes later they all asked how my day had been so far. Also at breakfast sometimes they were hovering and collected something off your table or asked something every 2 minutes, which is not so relaxing.
Beautiful villa in a great location. The whole place is a piece of art, so well curated. Rooms are equally beautiful and comfortable. Walking distance to many areas of Siem Reap. Nice breakfast à la carte. The little pool is lovely for cooling down and we always found a sunbed.

Welcoming staff. Very clean (room cleaned twice daily). Love to get cold towels with Tiger balm when we return from the hot outside. Wat Bo neighborhood is quiet. Good Lao noodles across the street.

CanadaStayed here with my partner for just one night to see Angkor Wat. Wish we stayed longer. The rooms are extremely well decorated and well equipped. Ice cold AC, good water pressure, and water gets HOT should you need it. Comfy bed and pillows too. Good wifi signal too. Hotel itself is in a good location near the river. It is an easy walking distance to Pub Street and Night Market. The staff are so kind and the hospitality level displayed by the staff is immaculate. The cold wet towel service isn’t just for when you check in… it is every time you come back to the hotel. This is a godsend after a hot day of exploring. The restaurant food is reasonably priced and very tasty. There is “Western” food, not sure if this was any good as we didn’t eat it (why would you, you’re in Cambodia lol) but the “local style” cuisine is delicious. Good selection of drinks and cocktails too. Booked a private tuktuk tour for Angkor Wat through the hotel which was priced well. Our driver (Rith) was super accommodating, polite, professional and his vehicle was clean. The breakfast box prepared by the hotel was delicious and compact. We were able to see all of the main sites and the famous sunrise without rush. Even though we had checked out, the staff let us use the pool and the spa room to shower and spend time before our late afternoon flight. This is top level service! Bonus points for having a hair gel dispenser in the room. I’ve travelled all over and have never seen this before. You guys rock!

Breakfast was nice. They were SO friendly. They gave us fresh water bottles whenever we needed them. We received a cool towel every time we came ‘home’. They even offered to spray us with insect repellent on our way out to dinner. They gave suggestions on what to do and booked for us. They were very patient and explained things
