Being next to a battery of roosters waking us up at 4am each morning. They were so loud and so many of them. I wouldn’t recommend staying on the opposite site from the main city area due to the roosters. Make sure you check in on the side facing the central area.

Staff were amazing. The friendliest staff we have found in any hotel for a long time. The rooms were beautifully appointed, could not fault them.

Excellent place, room a d bathroom very clean and beautiful. Water and coffe,tea in the room. All great, on the 7 floor it is restaurant, we had a breakfast and was great chose and very tasty. Staff so nice and helpful, we had some stomach problem from previous days and Liku from restaurant give some advice what to do and bring a food to the room to let us rest. Staff was excellent. You can have massage and order trips, and also bus, as we did to Vietnam. You do not need to go outside all you can do in hotel.

There were some noisy chickens outside our window and some drilling noises in the morning but they weren’t too bad and didn’t happen during the night.

The staff here are incredible, so helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was lovely and staff would always go out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. Really enjoyed staying here.

The staff were attentive from the get go. Our room was large, very modern and the bed was HUGE! We had everything we needed - a desk area, safe, robes, large wardrobe space, and we loved the large balcony area. The breakfast each day offered many options which we loved. We had drinks at the rooftop bar which is a MUST do when visiting & also we ate dinner here on our final night which was delicious and reasonably priced. Location is a short 15-20 minute walk from the centre of town which was perfect! We recommend the private Tuk Tuk tours, so worth the $35, we did 2 days of these :)

It was my first time at this hotel. I checked in a room on the 4th floor, but the internet wasn’t that good and I need to do my online class. The staff was very attentive to my request for a room which is near the WiFi modem. They changed the room for me and help with my other requests. When you bump into them around the hotel, they always say hello to you. Such a lovely stay I had. Will definitely stay there again.

A Gem of a Hotel Situated set back off the Main Highway into Kampot. It offers all the services you need. It has a wonderful Restaurant and rooftop bar spanning the top two floors.The staff throughout the hotel are so friendly and helpful. Tan Lika especially who manages the Restaurant and bar ensures all guests are well fed and happy. The breakfasts are splendid with plenty of choice and the food generally is top notch at very fair prices. Next door is a very convenient laundry, there is a gym and massage room.The rooms are spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. I had a wonderful stay here and hope to return again.

I loved my stay at the Square Hotel Kampot! From the super warm friendliest welcome I’ve ever received (and I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels) the wonderful spacious, modern, super clean fresh rooms with fabulous balconies overlooking the town, to the amazing value for money this hotel offers you can’t beat it! You also have super fluffy towels, robes all amenities and a wonderful big modern bathroom. Exceptional breakfast included in the price too! All options local and western food, great choice and all delicious. What struck me about this hotel, the staff are so lovely, very friendly and professional and can’t do enough for you. I had a good chat to a lot of the staff, great English. Perfect location, nice and quiet. Huge comfy beds I slept so well! And the restaurant and sky bar at the top of the building are a wonderful extra touch! Would highly recommend. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Kampot wish I could have stayed longer!

While the hotel seems new the top level needs a cover so you can sit there and chill. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel moved me to a larger room on the 6th floor that was spacious and good value. The staff struggled somewhat with English but really tried and were helpful. The hotel is not in the hub of things but a cheap Tuk Tuk into town. WiFi was good!

On booking there was option add 1 bed to twin room but it was impossible in reality. we got family room instead for the same price so it was perfect:)

we were staying in a family suite (2 adjacent rooms). for 4 people we were only given 2 small shampoos and 2 shower gels. We asked for at least one shampoo and 1 shower gel for each person but were told this could not be done as the hotel provides just 1 shampoo and 1 gel per room.

it is a new hotel, rooms are spacy and cozy. huge comfy bed. respectful and polite staff, allowed us to check out at 1 pm instead of 12. excellent value for money.

Bit far from main area, about 20min walk or 5min by tuktuk. But it was ok for us. We like to stay in quiet area.

Everything ! Big room with comfortable bed and shower. Staff are very nice and kind. We had a great time witj Lika (I think he is restaurant manager) We had good conversation every day such as Cambodian culture and foods etc. Highly recommended.

Only minor downside was that the gym was actually used as the breakfast room, so is full of tables and chairs. They turn the AC off during the day so we had a very warm run on the treadmill and cross trainer whilst waiting for the AC to kick in. Both machines worked great for us though for a short stay, just mentioning incase the gym is the most important thing to anyone.

Great value for money, room was modern, clean and had everything we needed. Restaurant and rooftop bar were really nice and we had some great chats with Lika (the restaurant manager) and Lina (one of the restaurant workers) - apologies if I have spelt their names wrong.
