Felt like arriving in paradise. Beautiful location, delightful staff, excellent food. The beach kept spotlessly clean by the staff, better than any of the neighboring resorts. Especially enjoyed our beach view from the room. Well worth the extra.

Just to write a minor inconvenient. The large glass door is covered by a thick curtain, which is perfect for blocking out light at night. However, it would be beneficial to have an additional, thinner option to enhance privacy without blocking the beautiful sunlight during the day. While we didn't personally feel overly exposed, we believe this could be a concern for other guests.

Our stay at this beach hotel was pure bliss. The beachfront room had stunning views of the white sand beach, and the food was a delicious mix of Khmer and fusion flavors - still thinking about the coconut dory and the fried kampot pepper fish. The Khmer-themed cocktails are unforgettable too. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to accomodate our specific needs. The highlight of our stay was the bioluminescent plankton night boat tour, don't miss it. Definitely will come back.

The food wasn't bad but could have been a little better.

Loved everything about the stay.. Watching the sunrise was an amazing experience. The room was clean and smelled amazing. Even the towels smelled so good. I liked their body wash and shampoo too. The staff were friendly and warm.

This is a real gem, very welcoming and helpful staff and beautiful location. Rooms are tastefully designed, very comfy and clean. Definitely recommended especially if you need to unwind and recharge energies.

It was a shame there wasn't a comfortable chair to sit in our room.

The location was absolutely stunning. The resort was very clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the time you arrive to the time you leave. It's much easier to get the ferry to Pagoda Beach . We also found the food to be delicious. A fantastic 3 days!

We loved everything about Secret Garden. The rooms were huge and comfortable. The location just stunning and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We stayed for 4 nights and just didn’t want to leave! The staff come to the pier to pick up your bags and take them to your room so you don’t have to worry about carrying your bags to the resort. The resorts is about a 500m walk along the beach but what a lovely introduction to your stay.

It was fantastic, maybe a wider selection of day trips, sun-downers, and trips around the island would be good. But I’m picking at straws, rarely is there a more helpful team at a hotel.

Absolutely fantastic location, attentive friendly staff, incredible food, beautiful accommodation, on a sun kissed beach of white sand next to the ocean! One of the most incredible places we’ve stayed and perfect for a short stop.

It was pretty perfect really.

Perfect setting, great beach and pool. Super rooms, in keeping with the natural simplicity of Koh Rong including a fab outdoor shower. Very friendly staff and good quality food.

The hotel should organize regular beach clean ups next to the hotel area. It is not their beach. However it would be nice having a clean area next to the hotel as well.

The restaurant is excellent. They offer a lot of vegetarian dishes. Really nice beach without any sand flies during our visit.

Hard to complain about anything, but maybe a few more beach relaxation spots would be a good idea.

The simplicity and natural setting made the Secret Garden an experience we will never forget. The food was amazing, mixing Khmer and western flavors using fresh and flavorful ingredients. 5stars!

The beach is amazing and it’s so peaceful. I hope the owner is paying the staff a decent wage because they are all amazing. I wish they could wear white or khaki instead of having to wear all black in this heat. I went to put money in the tip box and it was full so I hope the workers are actually getting the tips we are putting in the box. They are so hardworking all day long.

The only minor dislike if I was being really fussy would be the outside shower. Feels a little strange & given the fact your likely to take a shower in the evening or late afternoon after a day on the beach it’s prime time for mosquitos on the island so showering outside wasn’t ideal.

The beach was simply stunning & very well kept compared with other beaches on Koh Rong. Wonderful staff who went above & beyond.

Very beautiful and well maintained hotel including access to a private beach. The view from our hotel room was amazing. The food was delicious (we had 2 meals at the restaurant for our 2 days stay). The staff was very friendly and hospitable. We definitely can recommend this hotel and will come back.

We were made to feel welcome and part of the family. They were always making sure that our needs were met and always very attentive. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have everything you need for a relaxing laid back holiday. Unwind and slow down to the pace of island life and you will have an amazing time. As for its location and the beach, words cannot describe its beauty. 🏝️

Not a complaint, just worth mentioning for child-free couples/friends. We were a couple travelling alone and were looking for peace and quiet. However, the Secret Garden is very attractive for families with small kids. And during our stay, there were A LOT of families with small children and newborns staying at the resort. This means, loud and screaming children at the pool, beach, and restaurant at nearly all times. This made it a bit hard for us to relax and enjoy the quiet. Since our room was behind the pool, we were directly exposed. Meaning, a bit hard to escape. Same during breakfast and dinner. There are many people who are not bothered by it, but for us, it was too busy and loud with kids at times. This, obviously, is not something that could be changed by the staff. Hence, not a complaint. But if you are looking for a quiet vacation spot without lots of children, this may not be for you. It is a family resort. However, I will definitely come back but book a room far away from the pool next time:)

I am giving 10 stars mainly for the kind and unique people working at the Secret Garden! The most amazing staff I have EVER encountered. Thanks to Saron, Wan, Ham, Sopa and the rest of the staff who we have not mentioned. We stayed 7 nights and at the end of the stay it felt like leaving family. Everyone is so kind. They will do everything to make the stay as nice as possible for you. As most people have mentioned in the reviews, the beach is BEYOND amazing. Probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. Clean and spacious. The cottages are simply decorated with an amazing outdoor shower and comfortable beds. Our room was behind the pool. Next time, I would book the direct beach ocean view. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Everything was great, the food was good and the breakfast was also great (not the best coffee but that's just a question of taste). Also, Sopa makes the best cocktails!! The taxi prices are quiet expensive (30 $ round trip for 2 people) so we decided to stay at the resort most of the time. We did a bike tour though, Bike can be rented for 5 $ each/per day.

When we arrived on the Pagoda Ferry we did not expect to have to walk from the pier to the hotel. It was very hot and is about 500m.

The staff are particularly nice and helpful and a real bonus to the organisation. One even helped us to board the ferry at Longset Beach. Santran is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Food was basic and a little disappointing. The beach was littered with rubbish however a major clear-up was organised so by the time we left, the beach looked gorgeous.

The location was lovely with the best white, soft sand. The accommodation was basic but all you needed.
