This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. A delightful and immaculate oasis in a busy city. Not one but two pools, one you have breakfast and drinks beside. My room was enormous (superior double) Staff welcoming and helpful. Great location, near the palace so very quiet but within striking distance of other sights, restaurants etc A great cafe Enso’s, round the corner just past the admirable Open Book library. Was the last night of a month of more budget travel round Vietnam and Ambodia - when I walked in I felt as if I shouldn’t be there as it was so nice but I needn’t have worried, immediately put at ease by the warm welcome. So don’t be after to arrive with a dusty backpack (though other guests will have posher luggage) and enjoy !

It would be nice to have a small pool cleaning net to pick out bees and bugs and plants from the private pool instead of having to call the staff every time for a quick simple clean.

Everything. The staff and faculty was amazing, so friendly it felt like home. Karona made us feel comfortable from the time we walked in and Kakada in the restaurant knew our favorite drinks on the first day! I'm going back!

We stayed in two rooms and the first room was a bit small. But apart from that the hotel is perfect.

The whole atmosphere of a lush, green oasis in the centre of a busy city is magical. The attention to detail is superb and the environment and decoration are simply stunning. The service provided by the staff is faultless. We can’t recommend it enough and would 100% stay again. As my mum says, ‘it is worth coming to Cambodia simply for this hotel’.

Unfortuntely, there was noise above us at night time that was rather intrusive.

Loved the beautiful architecture of the French colonial building. The use of antiques throughout further enhanced the ambiance. The pools were delightful, especially the one surrounded by tropical plants which was lovely and cool in the excessive heat of April. Thank you to the reception staff who were helpful and friendly. The spa was a relaxing and joyful experience.

Beautiful pool area where we dined each evening because the ambience was perfect and the food and wine very good. It made for a very relaxing stay in Phnom Penh after looking at the sights each day.

This place is a paradise. The atmosphere just puts into a state of bliss and relaxation. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. The courtyard and restaurant area is so lush and beautiful. The rooms were beautiful and the private pool was the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

The compound was gorgeous. A real oasis in the middle of the city. The location was good yet private. The rooms were large, and the environment was really peaceful.

The bathroom in our room was below par and, hopefully, on the list to be upgraded asap. Everything else was fine.

Great location. Good facilities. Nice feeling of being a traditional, personable place to stay, intimately designed and with a genuine history, NOT some 'high-rise/metal & glass/impersonable' hotel, which was really important given the number of ugly, 'could be in any city anywhere in the world' hotels in Phnom Penh.

Airconditioner did not work properly so room was quite hot which made it uncomfortable. Although the room was fantastic, having the airconditioner not work well put a downer on it.

There’s nothing not to like

Wonderful attentive staff. Lovely garden oasis next to the two swimming pools and restaurant. The food from the restaurant was amazingly good. Try the traditional Fish Amok dish here. Close to most tourists attractions and some very good restaurants catering for both traditional Cambodian food and western food. Overall a very comfortable stay.

Fabulous. From welcome to check out, this hotel was superb. Beautiful building, lush setting, an oasis of calm. Choice of 2 pools for sun/ shade. Extensive breakfast choices included in room rate. Staff were so helpful and service from reception, bar, restaurant and spa/massage excellent. Faultless. An absolute treat to have stayed here.
