Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceEverything was amazing
I had a wonderful and peaceful stay at People by The community. The whole team was kind, friendly and helpful. I booked all the tuk tuk tour they offered and my driver Billy was truly outstanding, respectful and kind. I also booked a tour guide which I highly recommend especially for Angkor Wat and Bayon temples, Mr Pada was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. Had twice a massage with Mrs Naren and she unblocked knots I thought would never go🙏. Thank you for all the team for a great stay and for all the efforts you put in to provide great service and give back to the community 🙏

GermanyEveryone in this hotel was so welcoming and friendly. Staff here makes you feel like you are part of a family and go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Our room was spacious, super clean and had a comfortable bed. Location was also convenient: Close to the temples and a short 1 USD drive away from downtown. 10/10!

ItalyThe breakfast menu could have been a bit better and prices could have been a little closer to those you find in the city.
Great facilities and staff. Everything was perfect including the various tours that they organize for you. The mission behind the hotel was also an interesting and positive plus.

GermanyThe private guide we booked was not as insightful and informative as we hoped. But that's not really the hotel's responsibility. Everything else was spot on!
A peaceful and positive base for exploring Angkor. The staff is exceptionally attentive, personal and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. The location is perfect for trips to the temples area as it's north of the city, but still very close to downtown (5-10 minutes and 1$ to the center). We booked two tours here with a wonderful tuktuk driver (18$ each +5$ for sunrise) and a private tour guide (50$ incl. sunrise). The dinner is good, the included afternoon tea wonderful (with homemade tea assortment and fresh waffles) and the pools nice to cool off. Massages on your room are available, professional and clean. This is an exceptionally warm-hearted and convenient hotel for an appropriate price tag.

BelarusIt was definitely the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Cambodia. Convenient location close to all temples. Nearby was buffet and 7/11. A beautiful colonial-style hotel. I really liked the room. It was huge, spacious, with two large beds and a banquette. The room has a full bathroom, which is very important for families with children. I liked the rooftop with cozy swimming pool and a cozy bar. But the main impression about the hotel is the people. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. We are always ready to help you in any situation. And everything was very sincere. When we return to Siem Reap, we will definitely stay at this hotel!

We loved everything about this place! It has been our favourite hotel we’ve stayed in along our 4 month trip across south east Asia and could not recommend this place more. The staff were always extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable while also being super helpful! Every meal we had there (breakfast and dinner) were really good portion sizes and were absolutely delicious, especially the Amok fish curry. On top of that if you’d like to go to Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples, make sure to tell the hotel as they offer a private Tuk Tuk to show you around where you can get off at each temple and explore at your own pace. They offer this for a great price and the money really couldn’t go to any better people. The rooms were clean, tidy and were well looked after, just make sure to give your key into reception when you go out for the day so they can clean your room.

GermanyNothing. Everything was great!
The staff were the nicest people ever. The helped with everything and lots of things (Tuk-Tuks, Tours,...) were organisied and carried out by themself. The Team is big and the idea behind "the community" is great. They even give some of thier earnings to a school! The Room was cozy and very clean. The AC was very effective and the breakfast (we had local Khmer rice) was delicious.

CanadaNothing, everything was absolutely lovely.
The staff are absolutely amazing. So helpful for anything! The rooms were spacious and clean. Feels like a very safe place. The hotel is nice, facilities were good, great aircon, and had very lovely food and drinks. Two different pools were nice. Tuktuks available for whenever you need to go anywhere. Great location to get to Angkor Wat and downtown. Tours are easy to book through the staff, helpful with recommendations, very reliable, reasonably priced, and cold bottled water whenever you returned to the tuktuk.

United KingdomWe loved it all!
It was very welcoming. Staff were always willing to help. They really went above and beyond for us. We liked that there were refillable water stations and a welcome drink on arrival. The free afternoon tea was a nice touch which gave us a chance to taste the local teas. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The rooftop pool is lovely and relaxing. They also offer tuktuk rides for $1 which is cheaper than in the town and all the staff as wonderful. We really had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel and hope to return one day! We are backpacking south east Asia and it was a nice break from the all the craziness. Thank you so much to everyone in the community for a beautiful stay.
