Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe resort is a bit out of Kampot but the free shuttle is very good. There isn't much to do in the immediate area around the resort and I think one visit to Kampot was probably enough. We had a driver from the RiverTree to take us on a tour to La Plantation, Phnom Chinook Cave and Kep which we enjoyed but wasn't a tour as the driver didn't seem to know much about the area. The breakfast was fine but not as good as would expect for this standard of hotel.
We only stayed one night at this resort. Our room was very comfortable and high standard with a really nice shower. The room and the whole resort were exceptionally clean. The pool area is nice but not that many sun loungers - could be an issue if it was busy. We made use of the shuttle into Kampot and also used resort transport to go to Kep. There was a small boat trip from the resort which took about 30 mins which was nice way to see surrounding area. The staff were friendly although did feel that they need some further training. It could be just that as a new resort, they need to get some experience. We had a nice stay as it was very comfortable.

United KingdomIt felt the food and beverage offering wasn’t quite up to the same high standard as the rest of the hotel, just missing a little bit here and there. There could have been a better wine offering and wines by the glass. No sparkling water. No pool drinks service. Nothing major and it certainly didn’t distract from the fantastic stay that we had and the food we enjoyed. We did mention it directly to the hotel and they explained they are between food and beverage managers so this would explain the situation.
We liked the quiet location out of the town centre. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. The hotel offered a shuttle service to and from kampot which is needed. We had a sunset cruise from the hotel through the mangroves which was wonderful and enabled you to appreciate the beautiful setting. The rooms were great (we were given a free upgrade, thank you 🙏). Grounds and swimming pool area were very nice and well kept. We received a free massage which was heavenly. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. We tried to change our plans so we could stay longer but weren’t able to. Would love to have done the cooking course.

GreeceFood was average, breakfast could have more variety and there was not any kind of service after 10.30 pm that we wanted to have a drink by the pool. Overall it is a very nice hotel but at this price you expect more
The staff was super nice and helpful, fantastic location by the river and facilities like kayak and speed boat. Everyone was so friendly and we really enjoyed moments with hotel's staff! Beautiful and spacious rooms

AustraliaThe local karaoke bar across the river was noisy but stopped by 10pm every night so it wasn't too bad. The quality of the food was ok for the price but some could benefit from some improvements.
Staff were amazing and the rooms were great! They really went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. Especially with our young son!

United KingdomIt was very quiet when we were there which meant we had the pool area to ourselves but seemed like limited food on the restaurant menu. Maybe because it was the end of rainy season? Also a bit further from Kampot than we had anticipated. We hired a scooter which helped.
Beautuful pool area, lovely large bedroom and shower room. Lovely, peaceful setting for

IsraelWhilst everything about the hotel was great, having stayed in 3 other luxury hotels in Cambodia, the feeling was that this hotel is overpriced. The hotel is 25 minutes from town, the room was great but very expensive and the extras in the hotel (bar, restaurant, massage) were relatively high for Cambodia,
Beautiful surroundings, lovely room, friendly and helpful staff including free car into town. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool beautiful. We also had a stunning complementary boat trip along the river by the hotel.

It is in a quiet local residential area with lots of green and right next to the river, which makes it a perfect getaway place from the busy city like Phnom Penh. All the staff were very friendly and we had a very relaxing stay in a tastefully decorated room overlooking the river palm. The coffee and mango juice was excellent. Both kayaking and a boat trip was fun. We would love to come back!

BelgiumThe hotel is located a bit far from the center of kampot. The road to the hotel is not asphalted which makes it a challange to explore. Tuctuc drivers don't like to go on the dirt road so expect plenty of cancellations on Grab / Passap.
The resort is Khmer-owned and tries to play its part to be environmentally friendly. They don't serve their complementary water in plastic bottles. They organise a cleanup on the river on a monthly basis. They gifted us a reusable waterbottle (end of year period gift). The access to the river (green cathedral) is great. Breakfast / coffee was also great.
