Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

SwitzerlandThe umbrellas at the sunbeds were not adjustable and bedded in heavy cement rings. So no realy good shadow for the sunbeds, when there are more people at the pool.
Very quiet place with bungalows surrounded by a nice created garden. The pool was very clean. And the staff was very friendly with a great hospitality. The room facilities has been absolutely sufficient. If we wanted something, we just had to ask the staff and got it. It's definitely a place to come back.

AustraliaDecent place in nice and quiet area, however it was a bit far from the action. Tuk tuks are quite easy to get though. Room was a decent size with separate shower and toilet rooms. Bed was firm but comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing

GermanyBed was kinda hard, as everywhere in Cambodia. Power plugs were a little scarce and far away from the bed.
The owner was very helpful and friendly! We rented a scooter directly from the hotel and when it had some difficulties we immediately got another! The rooms were spacious as they are actually little bungalows. The pool was clean and big enough to swim a little, although after a day of 36C it was more of a bathtub 😉 .

United KingdomBeds are hard, but that seems to be the SE Asia norm. The arrangement of the sockets and lightswitches is not great, but honestly, that's such a small thing.
The host of the bungalows couldn't be nicer or more helpful and it was clear that his guests enjoying their stay was really important. We hired a moped from him for $5 a day which was super easy. He gave tips and recommendations for where to go. As others have said, it is a bit out of town but an easy ride in (school kicking out time was a bit hectic!) or we never had to wait long for a 'Grab' tuk tuk which was really cheap. This is more than made up for by the lovely setting, I would not have stayed anywhere else! Lots of birds around the gardens to enjoy. The pool is quite small and warm, but perfect to relax in after a hot day of exploring and there are plenty of loungers and sunshades to relax after. Breakfast is 'on demand' so don't be put off as we were if the dining area isn't set up in the morning, go on in and they will sort you out! It is a basic bread and eggs your way breakfast with a small plate of fruit, fruit juice drink and coffee for $5. We went out mostly and can't recommend the social enterprise Epic Arts Cafe enough, it's open 7am-6pm and everything we had on the 3 times we went there was excellet and supports children and young people with disabilities, good for the soul in every way. It is also a few minutes walk from here to the office we caught our bus to Vietnam from, so a good place to get your onward travels started if you're off early. Sunsets over the mountiains are lovely from bars/cafes on the river or the Kapla skybar, but it's such a shame there are so many bars that are not aimed for couples or women in Kampot. Otherwise so glad we chose here rather than Kep which is only an hours max moped drive to visit, which was enough for us.

United KingdomBed a bit hard, but they are all like that in Cambodia. A bit out of town but that means it’s quiet and it’s easy to get a Grab or hire a scooter from the owner.
Lovely swimming pool and gardens. Very quiet and peaceful. Good breakfast and excellent coffee. Room was fine, good ac, separate toilet which is unusual in Cambodia. Hot water. Nice helpful owner. All good, recommend.

United KingdomEverything was perfect
Excellent value for money, clean comfortable bungalow accommodation. Lovely welcoming and friendly staff. Swimming pool was large size, much larger than pools I’ve used at larger and much more expensive hotels. Short Tuk Tuk ride to central Kampot. Great breakfast with fruits that is grown in their gardens.

United KingdomIt was perfect to be a 5 min tuk tuk or scooter ride from the bustle of the town. Very calm and relaxing environment. Lucca was a fantastic host, who was ready to help with anything we needed and always with a smile. I had left my sketchbook in Phnom Penh and he expertly arranged for it to be delivered the next day to the bungalow for a few dollars!

United KingdomNot having more days to stay here.
What a lovely set of bungalows. Perfect location for the train station and, because the station is a bit out of town, lovely and quiet. Comfortable beds, air conditioning or fan to chose for cooling. Or a cute little pool for a dip when the heat gets too much. Great breakfasts for just $5. Staff are fantastic, especially the main man Lodge (apologies for spelling) who couldn't have been more helpful. So, all in all, a great place as a base to explore Kampot (it's only 5000 riels by tuktuk to the Durian roundabout to get into town).

VietnamThere were a couple of minor maintenance issues, specifically with the door to the room, but that was easily fixed and I never felt unsafe.
This was truly an oasis, a community of 9 individual bungalows in a lush garden setting. Though only 10 minutes by tuktuk from the heart of town, I felt as if I were in the country. The songs of birds and scents of tropical flowers woke me each morning.

France- Not a problem for us but you will need to rent a motorbike, order tuktuks or hire a driver as the city center is a 30-35 minutes walk
- Lovely manager and housekeeper, always smiling (the manager speaks very good french!) - Great location in a quiet area just outside of the more busy Kampot, 7-8 minutes of motorbike/tuktuk (1.5$) to get to the center - Comfortable bed, big room, nice shower and even… separate toilets from the bathroom (rarely seen in Asia) - We rented a motorbike for a very good price, it was in excellent condition - The place is just beautiful and the (very clean) swimming pool is a nice reward after a busy day

United KingdomOur stay at Phoumrumduol Bungalow's was absolutely excellent. The bungalows themselves are fantastic and super clean, big bed, nice bathroom, little balcony. The pool a real plus, very clean, lovely big sunbeds, lots of umbrellas for shade. And then the host, Loi, is a real star. So, so helpful, extremely nice and welcoming and can help with any situation, whether it be Moto rental (they have scooters for an excellent price), onward travel, restaurant recommendations or arrival issues. He also speaks both English and French. Can't find a fault, and the location is great as well, outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything.
