Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndonesiaThe electric glazed window in the bathroom seems to be automatically turned off whenever there's power failure. With that and the glass partition to the bedroom, it made the bedroom not fully dark for sleeping. We understand that since it's quite a new building, there shall be tethering times.
It's located at a great secluded private beach with a perfect view of the sunset. The property is relatively new. We enjoy exploring the property's beaches that stretched quite far. The staff are very friendly and they have a fully functioning restaurant. I love all their attention to detail. We will come back!

CambodiaSome of the facilities have suffered from lack of maintenance I’m guessing due to the downturn in tourism during Covid times For example tiles are missing from the pool and the deck around the pool is warped but they’re working hard to get everything back to standard
This is a laidback and lovely little place The aesthetic is pleasing and the rooms are private and comfortable The food is good although the wine menu is limited It’s not on the main beach of the island which was a real plus for us but if you’re after a party go somewhere else For an alternative to the resort if you’re there for a few days there’s also Art’s places about a 200 metres walk at the back of the property

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a cocoon of hospitality, with staff members who anticipated our every need with grace and warmth. The culinary journey was a highlight, with each meal surpassing the last in flavor and presentation. United KingdomThat it has to come to an end!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. The staff's attentiveness and dedication to customer service truly set this resort apart. Every interaction felt personalised, making us feel like cherished guests. And oh, the food! Each meal was a culinary delight, with flavors that danced on our palates. But perhaps the highlight of our stay was the incredible masseuse whose skilled hands worked like magic, melting away all our stress and tension. It was pure bliss! The location itself is a slice of paradise, offering peace and tranquility in abundance. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, every moment felt like a dream. United KingdomSometimes the restaurant muddled up orders which we weren’t sure whether it was due to communication and lack of understanding. They were always happy to rectify this.
Beautifully located in a tranquil Setting which overlooked the sea. Perfect for decompressing after lots of travel and a busy city. There was a boat transfer which was useful to go visit Saracen bay and explore other areas of this stunning island. Villas were very impressive and the staff were very helpful.

United KingdomNothing really - maybe a buffet rather than a la carte breakfast, but not a big point.
An amazing stay at Pearl Resort! It’s a brand new, stunningly decorated, pristine, hotel. We stayed in a sea view villa with a room-wide window overlooking the sea, and beautiful details that made our stay a real pleasure with nice touches such as flowers on the bed. The beach was gorgeous, with white sand and palm trees, and the infinity pool was amazing. The swings in the sea were lovely, and we also went kayaking and snorkelling. It was such a peaceful resort and perfect in every way. Not overcrowded either, so we could make the most of the facilities on offer. The staff were kind, polite and couldn’t do more to help. And the food they made for us was delicious. As it was my birthday, they made a special treat, which was very nice. The hotel also organised our taxi and ferry transfer from Phnom Penh, so we didn’t need to worry about that. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. A five star Caribbean beach experience at a fraction of the price. I would definitely come back again! Thank you!

United KingdomNothing. This is still a new resort and it sounds like when all the facilities are completed it will be even better in future!
This place was a real retreat from the hustle and bustle of Cambodia, and even compared to the rest of what is a very peaceful island. Rooms are incredible and all the facilities are in amazing condition. Free use of snorkels and kayaks, and always felt like we had the place to ourselves. The hotel also provides a handy free shuttle to the main beach if you do feel like venturing out.

United KingdomFood was so nice and even had vegetarian options as well ,
Stayed at this resort as a family of 4 adults and 1 toddler. Originally had only booked for 1 night but loved it so much we booked an extra 7 nights! The resort itself is lovely: very clean, comfortable rooms, brilliant staff who went above and beyond for us during our stay and were a great help with our grandson. The infinity pool looking over the beach is stunning. The resort had excent WiFi connection all over including the beach! We didn't have any issues with unwanted creatures during our stay despite being pretty much in the jungle. There was also lots to do including boat rides, hiking and trials which the staff where great help with. Would highly reccomend this place to anyone.
