Being so far from the town wasn’t always ideal, but would’ve easily helped with a bit more preparation from myself (like medication etc). The heat would be rough at night without a fan but it was helpful to be by the sea, with the wind!

Being only a minutes walk away from the most gorgeous beach was an absolute luxury. There were hammocks and sun-loungers for you to sit and relax. We booked the shared bathroom and I was very surprised to how much i enjoyed the bucket shower! The restaurant also was lovely, it all tasted amazing and there were so many drinks options to help with the wonderful heat.

It wasn't as "lonely" as the name suggests. There were loud parties and people yelling both nights, making it hard to sleep. Frequent boat noise added to the nighttime disruption. We also had some drunk guests confuse their bungalow with ours at night, which was a little unsettling.

Beautiful beach - perfect for swimming and sunsets! Accommodation was great and the staff, especially the kitchen crew, were incredibly friendly. Great value for money. We enjoyed the bucket shower - So refreshing!

Secluded in the jungle with an amazing beach. All of the stuff is incredibly sweet and very accommodating. Being off the grid was refreshing and time spent well. It’s a journey to get there, but most definitely worth it.

Wow one of the most beautiful places. Such an incredible beach. Crystal clear water. Like a warm bath to swim in it. Really so magical at night to swim with the plankton. The sunset. We loved it here so much. Dany and the crew here are all so nice and make you feel right at home. Hard to leave. We absolutely loved our stay here. So peaceful. Really nice energy here. Highly recommend.

You properly away from everything which is awesome but it means the only place you can eat is the bistro attached to the accommodation. The food is pretty good but it being the only place you can eat they definitely charge a bit more and you don't have much of a choice but to pay. But other than that minor issue absolutely worth it

The bungalow was amazing, newly built and was a lovely wilderness experience. Bucket shower and no running/hot water, but really took us back to the basics which we loved. The nature and beach view was amazing! Great food and atmosphere and all the staff were so lovely and welcoming.

If you are not keen on simplicity and nature then it is not a place for you. The same applies if you do not like animals (dogs, cats, birds or spiders :)).

The beach is great, the food is amazing, and the keeper is really nice guy. We've traveled around Cambodia for a few weeks and this place was one of my favourites. :)

The place itself is a piece of paradise! The beach is stunning and the water is a cristal pool all surrounded by palm trees and wooden bungalows hidden in the back I stayed there 3 night, disconnect from everything but connect at the same time, experience a simple way of living. All the staff is nice also if they have some difficulty speaking English, but Dany the owner is a super guy it would split in half just to help you. The restaurant has a lot of choice and everything tastes great, they also opened a beach bar that runs at night were you can chill and have some cocktails. I really recommend to go there, if I can I will stop again before leaving Cambodia

The noisy visitors from other beaches shattering the peace with barbecues and loud music. Nothing is included in the price so be prepared to run up a bill. Make sure you have enough cash as the internet is patchy for card payments and there is a fee for doing so.

The location is the outstanding feature of lonely beach. It is very isolated and there is very little in the area. It took us a bit of time to change our mindset from travelling to stopping but was absolutely well worth the change. Dany has created a unique stay trying to resist modernity and encourage guests to connect in different ways which may not suit everyone. There is no WiFi and the mobile data is patchy at best. Travelers therefore are less hooked into a screen and more to each other. Very refreshing. There is no electricity apart from a nosolar panel on the very rustic bungalows for lights for the evening and therefore no Aircon or fan but the rooms are made to be open to take in any breeze. This means there is no electric noise, only the sounds of the jungle and the sea. The bungalows are very much made in the reuse and recycle style with some unique ways of providing a living space. There is no running water and in the bathroom is a cubic metre of water which is topped up every morning. The shower is traditional bowl shower and the toilet is flushed in the same way. There is a restaurant on site but no where else to eat that is convenient. The food is very good, plentiful and caters for dietary needs and is available whenever you want it. There is a beach bar and a very creative "gym" for those who wish to build some muscles. The snorkelling trip is a must as the corals are in pristine condition and it's a peaceful 2 to 3 hour visit with no other visitors... For Now! Sadly the land next door is for sale and Danys landlord is also wanting to sell. If this kind of escape is for you, do it soon and any philanthropists out there, please buy this rare, beautiful and very special place to keep the hands of the big money resorts off.
