Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe location wasn’t ideal if you weren’t comfortable on a scooter. No aircon became difficult after a few nights as well as the power cuts that would stop the fan.
Really lovely bungalows. The shower worked well. The family that work there are amazing.

EstoniaWalk to the beach is 30 minutes but we turned it in our favor and ran there.
We had a fantastic stay in this paradise. Lovely staff, owner is the sweetest woman. Very good food and menu with lot of choises (you can order breakfast, lunch and dinner any time of the day) Lin and his family are welcoming and little Lily is cute host there :3 Firstly we had 4 night stay but extended up to 7 days. Quiet place where to calm your mind.

Located just next to the mangrove, at the north of the island Lily’s Riverhouse is a fantastic stay! The wooden houses make it an authentic stay where you are also welcomed very kindly. There’s many activities offered and not too far from the local beaches. The food is also excellent there! Would definitely recommend:)

United StatesEverything was very good!
I loved my stay at Lily’s! The bungalows are rustic but very comfortable. Lin and Ah Sey and the entire staff are so friendly and helpful. They really did everything to make my visit great. I loved hanging out in the restaurant and watching little Lily get into all sorts of mischief, and the infamous sea otter paid a visit which was amazing and funny. As others have mentioned, Lin’s boat ride with snorkeling, fishing, a barbecue and finally swimming with the bioluminescent plankton was pure magic!

LithuaniaWe were staying on very hot days so the fan did not cool us and of course be prepared to share your little house with geckos.
The owner and the people working there were just incredible, the food was also really really good! It was also very close to the lonely beach and you could even take a kayak and kayak to the ocean

FranceIt can be a bit isolated for some people but you can rent scooters for the day at a fair price at the property and they have an accommodating tuktuk driver.
House is lovely, clean, confortable and spacious. Situated along the river, kayaking there is very nice in the middle of the mangrove. Location is really appreciated, near the lonely beach and a fishing village. Food is diversed and well cooked!

United KingdomThe bungalow we stayed in was gorgeous with our own private shower out the back that was open to the mangroves. There was no air conditioning obviously but we were perfectly cool and fans were provided. The owner Lin and his wife were so welcoming and the food was incredible ! An absolute oasis in Koh Rong. We got the supply boat from pier 52 which took us straight to Prek Svay village and then you just follow the main road over the river until you see the signs, it’s not obvious on Google maps but it was very easy to find. Make sure you do the boat tours operated by Lin it was probably one of the best experiences we’ve had backpacking so far, he took us to the most amazing snorkelling spots we seemed to be the only boat in the whole bay ! Such great value for money I couldn’t recommend Lily’s riverhouse enough, just make sure you bring plenty of cash as the only way to get some out is on the other side of the island, which our hosts very graciously accommodated. We only wish we could have stayed longer !

Peaceful location, great food , best on the island , the chicken burgers are huge we had to share , very helpful owners who arranged pick up from the ferry , we hired a motorbike from them , took kayaks out and explored the mangroves. Amazing stars at night as no light pollution , loved lazing in the hammock , playing uno with the son and being entertained by lovely little lily ( just watch your chips as she will have them 🤣. Also they run a boat trip to snorkel, fish , bbq on the beach and swim with the bio ilumenescent plankton it was such good food and great value for money. A little oasis of calm to chill and relax.

FranceLily’s riverhouse is a little paradise nested in the mangrove, in a quiet, natural location. The owners and the staff are all very caring and friendly. The food is the best on the island, very tasty, cheap with generous quantities. The boat trip was definitely a highlight, and the kayaks a great way to explore the mangrove and floating village. We loved playing with the little otter and her dog friends! We rented a motorbike to explore and had a fantastic time. Thank you Lin, Ah Sey, Ty and Lily 😊

JapanBit far from the main ferry pier but I think it is totally worth it if you are looking for quieter, tranquil nature experience.
I think it was most amazing stay in all of Cambodia. Bungalow home all to myself. Had such authentic village like lifestyle stay. Sleeping while hearing the nature was wonderfully peaceful. The food is delicious, has extremely great boat tours which the value was worth so much more than the cost. Fun and generous owner also. Recommend very much.

IrelandJust be aware that it is in quite a remote location. We rented bikes from the property to get around which was great!
This place was just beautiful!! The bungalow itself was spacious and clean. We had no problems with insects but there were excellent mosquito nets above the beds. They are very private and quiet (apart from the noise of some chickens!). The staff were exceptionally helpful, they went above and beyond to make our experience great. The restaurant had delicious food with generous portions and 3 different varied menus. The view from the restaurant was beautiful, and Lily was just adorable!

United KingdomIt is far from either port on the island (25 min drive) however it is more than worth the trip.
Comfortable bed with private en-suite. There was a fan in the room that was able to be repositioned easily. The food was fantastic and the family who run this accommodation were so lovely. We also did the boat tour which was truly fantastic. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything! We were met by Asai who explained everything we needed to know including payments, food options, rentals etc. Bungalows are lovely and have a fan which was absolutely fine for us. There are only 6 and they are spaced out from each other so you feel you have privacy. Each bungalow had a nice outdoor seating area. The restaurant served amazing food, we had breakfast every day and dinner once and was really good with very, very generous portions! It's also a lovely setting and if you climb a few stairs there is a rooftop platform for lounging on. Kayaks are available for rental which would be perfect as the property is based amongst the mangroves, unfortunately we didn't get to to this as they were booked out! And yes, the river otter is still there and very cute! You will hear him coming when the dogs go mental lol. As per other reviews it is in a rural location, however based on our research of reviews and being able to ride bikes, this was no problem for us. However even if you don't drive, its a great location for just chilling and relaxing! Property can also support you with tuk tuks to and from the pier. We had a great stay, thank you to Lin, Asai, Lily and family!

AustraliaIt is a 30min ride from the ferry port, hosts were able to arrange a far better price for us to travel in ($12.50) then we could get ($20). So I would recommend letting them know what ferry you are arriving on so they can organise for you. Or hiring a scooter to drive yourself out.
The hosts here are so welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing and the extremely well priced. We took the Kayak out to the fishing village and also to lonely beach which was an adventure. We would have stayed longer if there was availability!
