Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Canadalazy Beach is absolutely a gem that I don't want to review too much because I don't want the secret to get out. The vibe here is very chill, and private, but not boring. This is our second stay and it's my favourite place on earth -- my kids too. The beach is phenomenal, the people are amazing, the food is great, and the bungalows are perfectly rustic while not being too hot or small or anything. You can snorkel on either far end of the beach, go for walks, paddle board, and the new beach bar is great for people who like that. Tell Nutella the cat we say hello.

FranceWe did not have a bungalow on the first line so not a lot of view of the sea. Kind of disappointed. It will be a good idea to be able to choose during the reservation. We got the impression that the attribution of the rooms were completely aleatory. We did not have a bungalow on the first line so not a lot of views of the sea. Kind of disappointed. It will be a good idea to be able to choose during the reservation. We got the impression that the attribution of the rooms was completely aleatory. There is a lot of rubbish brought from the sea. The Lazy beach team does their best to clean, but it is a little bit sad. And at the end of the beach it is full with plastic. In the restaurant there were selling only plastic water bottles and you have no choice but to buy them if you want to drink water during your stay. It will be a good idea to think about another, more eco friendly solution. There was no hot water in the rooms, but for a few days it was not an issue. One night we ordered seafood. The prices were extremely high for what we received. The cocktails were watery.
The location is just amazing. One of the most beautiful beaches that i have ever seen. We had really great time there. The rooms were big, the beds confortables. The restaurant was ok (main dishes) and the prices reasonable.

GermanyIt’s hard to describe this place in words. It’s a little paradise, the bungalows are “raw”, but the experience is unique. The place is so idyllic. Food is great and staff is so laid back and friendly.

United KingdomIt was a gorgeous setting on the other side of the island which we got taken to by a tractor with our luggage. The huts are simple and basic but clean and comfortable - you could hear the jungle and sea noises which was wonderful. The main area for eating and drinking was very relaxing and the food was delicious. Wifi in this area but not the rooms.

CanadaNothing, but some travellers would find it too rustic. No air con, road across the island was terrible. Low water pressure. We didn’t mind this and thought it was a perfect low tech oasis, but not for those who are fussy.
Simple, our cabin was right on the beach. Quiet, gorgeous views, swimming, excellent food in the restaurant . Staff were wonderful, helpful but low key. They were tolerant of kids and the Cambodian staff had their own. Boat would take you anywhere you wanted.

SpainThis is my fourth time here. I really knew what to expect- the bungalows are comfortable and spacious. They have a rustic charm so if you are looking for modern and Aircon this is not the place for you.
This beach and the rustic charm of the bungalows, added to the phenomenal staff who are always so friendly and happy to help. This is what makes Lazy beach so special. Thank you to the incredible staff for making our trip so special.

United StatesIt is a world travelers paradise, This backpackers travel stop. I don’t have complaints but I do think soft unprepared travelers should wake-up to a simple life before they check the box if you are someone who is a 5 star hotel traveler and Edd cushy beds and remote controls etc you are going to be challenged. The rooms are ambient. You have a Geckos in the room to eat insects. Cambodia is hot and humid, the air cools down at night but.it is nothing like air conditioning. Wi-Fi is only at the open air restaurant lounge area. Cell is zero to 2bars. You are not there to extend your connected life and rat race. Your are there to escape .
The property is beautiful. Awesome remote beach; remote location is fantastic; great food. ;Sunsets are amazing; staff is very friendly. This is the last remote beach getaway. It is a beautiful place lost in time.

United KingdomCome and relax. Without thinking about a possibility to see some animals. We were lucky and no one visited our hut:) If I come back - only to newly built accommodation. Just in case.
If you understand where you are going - it will be the best experience. It is very humbling experience and we sincerely enjoyed it. It was interesting to try) The owner and the beach is sooo unique (better than Sunset beach and much easier to get here).

United KingdomWow, such a gem. The location is amazing - so peaceful and unspoilt. The staff are absolutely delightful and couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. The food and drinks served at the restaurant (there’s only one but that fine when it’s this nice) were delicious. It’s not super plush but that’s not what you’d expect on a (pretty much deserted) stretch of coastline. Bungalows are roomy and comfy. We didn’t mind being joined by a few little lizards on the ceiling, it added to the authenticity. Would definitely recommend. Look out for bioluminescent plankton and hermit crabs! We did two nights here and two on Saracen Bay which was perfect.

United KingdomIf you don't like insects it isn't the place for you. I was pleasantly surprised how few were around - I was expecting much worse - but deet insect spray is needed. We had no problems but we may have been lucky.
Everything - even the cold shower amazingly. Bar/restaurant/lazing space is perfect. Rustic yes, but thoughtfully and creatively done. Staff were fabulous - Shiobhra, the volunteers and the lad who drove the tractor who picked us up from the pier. Such a brilliant place which lives up to its name. Do not come here if you want all mod cons. But come if you want peace, beauty, nature, beautiful white sands, Crystal clear water, good food and excellent service.

ChinaNo lifeguards on the beach and the weather was windy with big waves and strong current. However there were no lifeguards at any beach on the island. Some new bungalows under construction, can be a bit noisy at times.
Real remote bungalow on the beach. The staff is very kind and except this hotel, there's nothing else on this beach. Restaurant is good, cheap and with a lot of different choices so no worries not to have other options on Lazy Beach, you'll always find something to your satisfaction. Beach is wild and beautiful, with almost no on on it during our stay (low season).
