Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe breakfast was a bit disappointing and the pillows were not comfortable (though they gave me a better one when I mentioned it which was lovely).
The staff are wonderful and the hotel is quiet and green, it's a little sanctuary in a busy city.

United KingdomA little Oasis in Phnom Penh. Great value for money with good sized rooms. A few minutes walk to the Royal Palace and the riverfront. Lots of restaurant choices within the locality, including their sister hotel Penh House with a lovely rooftop restaurant.

South AfricaThe unlimited breakfast was the best. Leaving our bags after check out. The staff was very friendly and the location was very close to all the tourist attractions we wanted to visit, eg Royal Palace, Phnom Penh Night Market. The check out time was also great as we had a late flight. The wifi was also fast and available throughout the property.

United KingdomNothing. It was great.
The staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was perfect. The pool is a welcome break from the city heat. The room was big and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Location wise... You couldn't ask for more and the option to use the rooftop pool and bar in the sister hotel next door was a great little bonus.

NetherlandsNothing really, breakfast might be a bit scanty not in volume (you can always ask for more) but in choice. The pool is somewhat small but you can always go to the Penh House Hotel (same owner) and use their rooftop pool and gym
Great place and very closely the royal palace, Wat Bottom (Parc) and the riverside promenade. The garden is really nice and green with butterflies and songbirds. Some great restaurants in the neighborhood.

GermanyThe pool bar could benefit from an update, also staff-wise...
A lovely oasis right in the middle of Phnom Penh. A few minutes walk from the grand palace, it is situated in an old french mansion. A perfect place to relax at the pool after a busy day in the city. The neighbourhood is lively with cafes, gallerys, restaurants and pubs. You can also use the amenities of the sister-hotel Penh House around the corner.

PortugalJungle Addition exceeded expectations! It was exactly (or maybe even better) than the published photos (usually it’s the other way around, as properties often publish very outdated or retouched photos). The facilities were amazing. The jungle-like vegetation and decoration makes this hotel a true oasis in the middle of the city. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and had a very good bathroom as well (which was not displayed in Booking.com pictures so we were pleasantly surprised to find a completely separated shower - not so common in Southeast Asia). The staff was very friendly and helpful and welcomed us with a refreshing beverage and cold towels during check-in. Pool-side restaurant/bar service was also excellent with great options for lunch/dinner but also great breakfast - although it is not buffet, you can choose from a decent size list of options (some more western some more Asian) and request as many items and as many times you want. As a nice plus, guests can access the facilities of another nearby hotel: pool (which we did not use so we cannot rate) and fitness center (which was very well equipped with some machines, a great rack with bumpers up to 25kg and also all the fractionals, dumbbells up to 14kgs, AC, complementary water, etc). We could not really ask for more. Highly recommended!

Staff were amazingly friendly from the moment we entered to when we left! Breakfast box was prepared ahead of time for our early departure. The room was exceptionally clean, and the toiletries provided were really nice. The sister pool was a great way to spend an afternoon.

The hotel is a beautiful green and tranquil oasis with warm, professional and personable staff and comfortable rooms and facilities. The access to the sister, Penh House Hotel, is a great bonus, particularly the roof top bar/restaurant and infinity pool.

FranceThe pool and the pool bar are a bit old but we have access to another very close hotel owned by the same owner (Penh House hotel) and there, the pool is astonishing and pool bar very cosy with a splendid view.
Location is perfect, the hotel is very nice and quiet : all those trees when you leave the very busy city center of Phnom Penh are so peaceful. Very comfortable as well.
