Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Everything. We had the most amazing time staying here. We were here originally for 3 nights for our honeymoon, went to our next hotel, hated it and came back immediately for our final 2 nights. The staff were the best we experienced on our whole honeymoon, they made it and us feel incredibly special. From the welcome drinks, spa treatments, laundry, the tuk tuks, nothing felt too much, and we cannot thank the team enough for the most special 5 days ever. We both think of our time here so much, and wish to come back asap! Thank you!

ItalyAbsolutely nothing!
Wow! Jaya House River Park was 10/10 on all fronts. From the location immersed in nature (yet a 6 min tuktuk ride from the center), the comfortable and spacious rooms, the x2 scenic pools, the complimentary services (including massages), and free tuktuks into town. What truly made a difference was the impeccable service provided by ALL employees. We really felt fully taken care of 24/7 and were so glad we stayed 4 nights! Thank you, for the incredible experience - we will be back without a doubt.

We absolutely love this boutique hotel, it is by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, actually it is the best place we’ve ever stayed. It’s the attention to detail and the care with which it is run that really makes it stand out. They take the guest experience seriously! There is free daily laundry, free daily massages, fresh flowers in your room, cold wash cloths when you come in and they spray you with natural lemongrass mosquito spray as you leave, and there’s the free tuk tuks into town and back (you get a phone to ring them when you’re ready to be picked up) - all definitely makes you feel pretty special and spoiled and very, very well looked after! It’s in a beautiful garden setting with two lovely pools for cooling off (definitely needed) a fantastic restaurant (very good food) and a roof top bar with live music (very talented singer when we were there who took requests which was fun). We stayed in a villa with a plunge pool (really really recommend!) All the staff are absolutely gorgeous and so well trained in looking after the needs of the guests, with a special mention to the charming General Manager, Chris (thanks for all the attention and interesting chats). However there’s a bigger picture, when you stay here you are giving back to the local community. Christian, the owner/operator is passionate about caring for the community and growing people (and trees!) There’s a lot to know about his initiatives, for the local people and the environment, and well worth checking out and supporting. We loved this hotel for many reasons, we were spoiled and treated like royalty as guests but even more importantly we love the ethos behind the vision and what Jaya House is doing to support the local area and people. We really can’t recommend it highly enough.

Serene Spa with very good massages. We stayed 5 nights and it was a fantastic holiday. Highly recommend.

United Arab EmiratesOne of the if not best properties we have stayed at. The facilities, the staff, their basic gestures like free spa, free laundry, free mini bar, free transport within the city and collection as well as constant attention to details. This including the airport drop etc made it an absolutely unforgettable experience. Christen (their GM) and the team are spot on in all aspects.

United KingdomThe best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, by far. It is hard to put into words the level of service and comfort we experienced as guests at Jaya House. From the check-in experience with Finn to our meals in the restaurant to each and every cleaner, gardener and masseuse we encountered during our stay, the warmth and welcome we felt from every single member of the team was astonishing. The food was excellent, the rooms were beautifully presented and comfortable, and the facilities - swimming pools, bar, spa, restaurant - were immaculate and luxurious without ever feeling pretentious. The smallest details have all been thought of. To make things even better, the ethos of the hotel is clear to see and easy to support. Jaya is free of single-use plastics (with guests provided their own reusable bottle upon arrival) and does fantastic work planting trees in Siem Reap and supporting local people and communities. But what truly sets Jaya House apart from other hotels is the people who work there. Embodying the endless warmth and hospitality of the Cambodian people, the Jaya House team are simply incredible. No request is too much, little details about how we liked certain drinks or food were remembered, and above all the people appeared genuinely happy to try and give us the best possible experience. To Finn, Chris, and every single member of the team - thank you. Thank you for making our experience unforgettable. To Christian - what you have created in Jaya House deserves so much praise. However it is that you’ve created a home away from home with the most outstanding level of service, please keep doing what you’re doing. Ah kun.

The entire experience was exceptional. This is without doubt one of the best managed hotels I have ever stayed at. The room includes a daily massage for both, free laundry, a free tuk tuk service and they even provide a mobile phone to contact the hotel. Every little detail is perfect. This is an amazing base to explore Siem Reap, the staff are first class. Outstanding hotel - cannot recommend it highly enough.

United StatesWe loved our stay at Jaya river house. Everything, was amazing starting with the staff and attention to detail. The rooms were large and super comfortable and the AC was super cold. We took advantage of the free laundry service, daily spa treatments and amazing breakfast. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and we hope we get another chance to visit the beautiful country of Cambodia just so we can stay at Jaya House again!

United KingdomOne of the rare occasions I can say- nothing to improve on. Outstanding!
From the moment we were greeted at the airport- we felt we were met by family. Our driver provided us with cold towels, fresh fruit and water and stopped en route to buy fresh coconuts in a cool air conditioned comfortable car. We were met with warmth and kindness by the manager and had a lovely check-in experience in the roof terrace overlooking sunset with cold drinks. The rooms were wonderful- very comfortable and roomy, with all the thoughtful touches. There were excellent amenities, we had outstanding dinner and breakfasts in the restaurant on site (I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service)- with lots of options for my vegetarian/vegan family. As we were celebrating two birthdays, we were greeted with bouquets of flowers the next morning, treats and were provided with excellent support in arranging our sightseeing trip to Angkor Wat for the day with an excellent local guide. The driver went the extra mile in helping us with an emergency trip to the dentist (unplanned!) and we benefitted from having free local transfers around the area as well as a free laundry service. The complimentary massages were fantastic and our only regret was that we stayed for such little time- it truly felt like paradise in Cambodia. We have not stopped singing the praises of the staff, the facilities and the thoughtful touches which truly show off the hotel and its commitment to sustainability and supporting local artisans. We can't recommend it enough- thank you for an outstanding stay and for making our trip so memorable!

GermanyWe really enjoyed the attentive service. It's all the little details and the attention you receive during your stay. There was support for every question and everything happened calmly and somehow as a matter of course. Many thanks to the whole team. We booked the day tour for the temples directly through the hotel. Naka, our tour guide, gave us a fascinating insight into the history and lots of background information on our sightseeing tour. You could feel her enthusiasm to show us the wonderful places and she was very flexible in organising the tour. The hotel's TukTuk driver drove us safely throughout the day. We can only recommend the day trip with sunrise.
