How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Do not do your washing with them it is expensive and takes like 2 days, there are way more local places to go

Despite informing them that my room had not been cleaned, then going to Cambodia for two days to arrive back at the hotel to find the room had not been cleaned for three days

The hotel messaged on Booking.com to request confirmation of attendance, and threatened to cancel the booking if no reply was received within 24H. Even after I sent confirmation I was shocked to receive the same message the following day threatening cancellation if no response was received. This one I ignored and thankfully the booking was still in place upon arrival. Nonetheless this is a very poor system, as it should be assumed all bookings are confirmed and secured once made! I’ve never had this from any other hotel before. Our bathroom drain must have been blocked as the shower flooded the whole bathroom, no matter how short the shower was on for. Our stay included a free massage. It was disappointing that this was only available to one person (of the two travelling). As such we did not use it. $50 deposit upon arrival also seems quite steep.
The room was spacious and clean, and felt surprisingly luxe. The beds were comfy and the heavy duty curtains allowed for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was varied, with both western and Asian dishes available. We made good use of the swimming pool, and found it a perfect place to cool off in the scorching Cambodian heat. The in-house restaurant was really nice, and we enjoyed lunch by the pool and dinner on the rooftop bar. Happy Hour was great value and our cocktails were delicious. Location wqs fair, with a really nice supermarket (called Super Duper) less than 5 minutes away.

They didn’t make up the room unless we asked for it and even then it didn’t always happen. Sheets were slightly stained upon arrival but they were changed upon request.
Very comfortable bed and bathroom was excellent. Amenities were good and rooftop pool looked very nice. View from the bar was amazing. We had to add on an extra night and they let us keep our room which was extremely helpful. Filtered water available at reception to help save on plastic use!

The staff is somehow a bit clumsy and kind of inflexible. Their English is poor, maybe one of the reasons.
Centrally located with pool and decent gym plus rooftop bar.

Very comfortable room and facilities. The food was good and the pool and bar on the rooftop were nice touches. Great location as well as most attractions were short drives away.

The pool was a lot smaller than the photo suggests, but still good for a quick dip to cool off in the heat
The room and bathroom were very clean, and comfortable. The location was good, walking distance to lots of restaurants but not too busy/loud. We got a welcome drink (cocktail of our choice) at the rooftop bar which was very good!

As mentioned elsewhere, the area around the pool isn’t very large, and there’s limited shade. It would also be better if this was non smoking. Our shower didn’t drain very well.
Fantastic breakfast with a variety of local and western dishes that are freshly prepared. Large, comfortable room.

Very well equipped, tidy and comfortable apartments with the best AC System we found in south east asia. Fast and reliable WiFi. Free water refill station. Friendly and helpful staff. Small refreshing pool, nice SPA Area and fitness room. Highlight was the incredible breakfast buffet.

The pool area was a disappointment as it clearly needs upgrading. We couldn’t use it as smokers are allowed to smoke around the poolside and as it it is such a small area, you couldn’t get away from it and both my daughter and I are asthmatic!
We were upgraded to a lovely, spacious suite, which was an added bonus. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was very good.
