The English level of the staff was quite poor and often they were nowhere to be found. The toilet seat and lid in my bathroom had completely detached from the rest of the toilet making using the bathroom quite precarious. The power went off during the night. Advertised restaurant was not actually operating. You get what you pay for.

Room was clean and comfortable, wifi was good, air conditioning worked. It was near some good restaurants and the guesthouse offered transportation to various attractions. Generally very good value.

The bedroom wasn't too big but still ok for one night. The bed is comforable and good. The bathroom is spacious, good shower and toilet (the toilet seat was moving but ok). The Check in was easy. Good WiFi.

The room was small and there wasn’t plenty of space for 2 large rucksacks but we made do. The shower hold was very loosely fitted to the wall and soon came off meaning we had to hold it whilst having a shower. WiFi wasn’t great but we had SIM cards so it didn’t bother us too much. It was a bit of a walk to Pub Street but a short tuk tuk drive. Overall, it was a very cheap price so you get what you paid for. I would stay again.

The bed was comfortable and it was a good price. The staff were very friendly and it was nice to get to know them over some beers.

The location is not that great but when we compare it with the cost then it makes sense. Poor lighting in the room and in bath room. You must turn on an electric mosquito repellent (yours own) all night or use mosquito repellent lotion/spray. The bed foam was uneven and uncomfortable. Cleanliness of bed linen could also be improved. The Tuk tuk driver associated with the property and the rates of rides displayed at reception are almost 50% higher than the actual. The quoted15 dollar ride can easily be bargained at 10 dollars from a tuk tuk from the road outside. Likewise, 20 dollars ride can be done in 12-13 dollars through a tuk tuk from the road. I found a tuk tuk driver, Chomtry, quite reasonable. All three days, I took him for a ride at the rates that I just mentioned. His whatsapp number is+85587571414

It was very nice to stay at this property. The tuk tuk driver that I took from the bus stop easily found the property. The staff is good and welcoming. The location is a bit out of center, still at 20 minutes walk we can find the main action area with lots of restaurants, nightlife, street food vendors, shops, money exchange et. Tuk tuk is cheap and readily available as well. A few restaurants and basic grocery shops are very close. All in all its a nice place to stay.

The cages in front of windows need wiping as I put clothes on there to hang and they were very dusty.

Our stay was too short! One of the tuk tuk driver guides was 'petulant', he shall remain nameless. We didn't try the coffee kiosk 50m away until our last day. Big mistake because the coffee was delicious and cheap.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Their English was exceptional, which embarrassed us somewhat due to our almost non- existent Khmer. Khen, one of the guides for the temples (and everywhere & anywhere else) was a true gentleman and a pleasure to spend time with. We would recommend Happy Heng Haeng Guesthouse as a value for money option in Siem Reap.

The drains in the tropics... Not anything to do with the hotel though. I stayed on the 3rd floor, well away from the street.

The people- they were helpful and considerate, courteous, went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. This is simple accommodation, clean - perfect if you're looking for a safe, clean, accessible, very affordable hotel run by very nice people. They gave me secure luggage storage for 9 days while I was away from Siem Reap, and padlock-up locker as well.

Some staffs were too pushy with tuktuks and such. Offered it for very high prices too. We would've arranged with the guesthouse if they initially did not offer prices that were 3-4 higher than normal and not pushed so much.
