not a specific fault of the hotel but there can be a certain amount of rubbish in the water depending on the weather conditions the day before. They do periodically clean though.

a wonderful stay on Koh Rong. Located in a more private area of the island it was definitely worth the money. the staff were fantastic and able to help with any requests or questions. Both the beach and pool are stunning. Just make sure you bring sunscreen!

The air con was not the greatest, and it was incredibly hot during our stay. The shower only seemed to work on tepid or boiling hot, very difficult to adjust it to the desired temperature. However it did flow nice and fast which is great. We did discover a snake in our room, which was unexpected and definitely not a great experience. To be fair it was dealt with very quickly but no-one seemed to know how it had got in there or how dangerous it was. This was the first hotel we had stayed in Cambodia that did not have a mini bar, it had a fridge which was completely empty, plus the only water available was in glass bottles which were washed and reused each day and had to be collected from a fridge near reception. Considering the cost of this stay in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in we were a little surprised. Despite my comments we did love our stay because of the setting and the lovely friendly staff.

Fabulous property in a stunning location! The bungalows were clean and spacious, with large beds. The resort is practically on the beach which has the most beautiful white soft sands I have ever seen.

Everything about Golden Beach Resort was amazing! Our room was always immaculate, the service was great and the views were fantastic. The staff couldn't do more to ensure that we had a great break and were very accommodating, a big shout out needs to go to Lorn. If you want a relaxing few days in a stunning location then I couldn't recommend Golden Beach Resort more. We will be back!

boiling hot water for showers expensive food

Resort is stunning on the most beautiful beach with white sand and crystal clear water. Rooms are nice and comfortable. we had issues with the shower/water in bathroom always being boiling hot apart from that rooms were great. Breakfast wasn’t of 5 star standard. not many options compared to other hotels we have stayed in Cambodia. portion sizes of meals were small with expensive prices. would recommend walking to you left of the resort and eating in other restaurants for a lot cheaper and better food. We had a few different times that staff hasn’t sorted things out for us even though asking/explaining multiple times ie when booking treatments and then timings for being picked up. overall was a great stay in a gorgeous resort with a great gym!

Only the excursions were overpriced, but there were many posibility in the village, if you want cheaper excursions.

This hotel was the greatest surprise for us during our journey. The word "exceptional" is not enough to tell how excellent was this hotel. The bungalows, the beach, the see, the swimming pools, the staff, the food all were excetional .

The location of the hotel was very nice, in a quiet part of the island. Although it was very close to the pier, the sea was very clean and beautiful. All staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was the most amazing place - the most relaxing and peaceful stay. It was total luxury. The staff were so nice and helpful and all went the extra mile. The restaurant was more expensive than an average Cambodia restaurant, but still great value for food and drinks. We couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

rooms are nice, but could have some seating possibilities, launches at the big pool could be more comfortable, Wifi works medium. we had to leave early in the morning and they forgot our lunch package altough it was promissed

Just be aware this hotel is further round the bay so you don’t get a sunset, even though it’s on the west coast.

We loved this hotel, it’s in a very quiet area on the Island, felt very remote and peaceful. The beach front villas are really lovely and you get a rear door for pool access too. The staff were very helpful too. Free water activities which we loved.

The hotel allowed non-residents to use the facilities so we ended up being surrounded by 20 years old back-packers using the pools and the sun beds on the beach. A pity that such policy is adopted because it diminishes the exclusivity of the hotel.

The location was great, just in front of a stunning beach and a very nice little village. The facilities were great, the gym, the pools, the restaurant.

Gorgeous decor. All brand new and modern. Spotlessly clean. 2 pools were beautiful and the landscaping was well maintained and beautiful. The beach for this hotel was kept cleaned every day and there were romantic areas to lounge Also the food was delicious. A talented French chef and talented staff. And the free breakfast was well worth the price of the room. Unfortunately the little village is in a state of decline and this hotel is the best thing on this beach. All the staff were friendly and kind.
