Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceWithout a motorcycle, the place is a bit far to the touristic areas with restaurants/ bars.. Don't recommend if you are looking for a social area, but definitely your place if you want a kiet place to rest !
The tent few meters from the beach was awesome. I had one of my best sleeps. Just have to open it to see the best sunsets ! The beach is small, but nice. You also have a restaurant with really good pancakes and shakes. You can rent a motorbike directly, and we had the chance to use the little boat of the owners Definitely good value for money!!

United KingdomSome of the motorbikes were a bit run down, but there were other places you could rent for a similar price down the beach if all the good ones have gone.
Pickup went smoothly with resonable price given it was 2 ways. We were a family group of 10 and stayed in the bungalows, which were pretty large with good views plus really comfortable and with good mosquito nets. Robbie showed us round each to check we were happy. Over the next 4 days we ate some really good food (portion size was great) and all the staff were super kind especially to our 4 children. We had been worried by some of the previous reviews, but think if you are ok to: - Wait sometimes a little longer for your food (there are only 3 of them taking orders and cooking things fresh). - Not looking to save every $ you can by negotiating or avoiding their restaurant (it is good value for money). - Accept that egg shells and peelings make great fertiliser so are placed round the bottom of some of the newer trees they are trying to establish. - Happy to ride a motorbike to explore or just chill on the beach. Then you will have a great time.

GermanyWe liked the atmosphere at Coonut beach bungalows. Great people and a nice terrace to bring everyone together in a chilled way. Robbie, the owner, organised games in the evening and we had a blast with people from France, Canada, NL and Germany. Robbie also organised lanterns we let fly one evening and the bioluminiszent planton directla at the beach was a unique experience.

United KingdomCould do with a little portable fan/ light for the tent as it gets very hot and is hard to see at night
Very good location, the beach is amazing, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good and you get a massive portion although it is a bit pricey.

SwedenThere are no place to charge your phone close to the tent and you have no fan, but for the cheap price it was worth it.
The location is on the beach which was cool! The food was okay and the staff was very friendly!

United KingdomQuite far from the Main Village of the island. If you stay there you have to eat there, drink there, etc. There is nothing else around (apart from 1 another resort).
The staff is nice. You get some free kayaks, free fishing tools and bait. You can sit by the fire every night, you can enjoy some free lantern show. The food is decent, but a bit pricey.. There is no Hot Water.

ItalyThe facilities are basic, shared bathrooms and showers, Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the room. Overall, a tent was a better option than a room.
Lovely family-run property right next to the beach, away from the crowds, very affordable accommodation and food, nice activities, helpful staff and homie atmosphere. I came for 2 days and stayed for a week. Very recommended.

ItalySometimes, the staff messed up with the payment.
I stayed in a tent and the mattress was really comfy. The view from my tent is on the beach. The people using the beach and swimming are really few, so you can enjoy the relaxing beach.

TunisiaFood options were limited and it wasn’t easy to find somewhere else to eat unless u walk 25 mins or get a motorbike. Generally the staff were nice, but the lady at the reception serving the food sometimes showed attitude for no reason, just when asking her a simple question, I feel like she should be nicer towards guests. The kids of the staff were too noisy and not behaving well, screaming all the time which was annoying at some point
The location is amazing, so the view from the tent was fabulous. The vibes were great, many people to meet. The beach is wonderful , water is crystal clear and I loved swimming there.

Czech RepublicGarbage is a problem on all the beaches and when it's stormy or windy, you get tons of plastic everywhere. I'm not surprised the owners dont care too much about the beach area (they do offer garbage bags for those who feel like cleaning though, and we got a drink out of it too:-)) but the bungalow area could be taken better care of.
We loved our stay at Coconut beach. Our bungalow had comfortable beds with mosquito nets, the bathroom was standard. We also had a tent right on the beach which we didnt sleep in but used it as a day retreat. The owners are definitely not the all-smiles Cambodians that we are used to but they did all they could to make us happy. We ate a lot in the restaurant. The prices might be steeper (on the whole island) but their portions were huge and the meals tasty.

CanadaThe bathrooms were a bit dirty and it was very far from the village so you had to rent a scooter if you wanted to go anywhere else.
It was such a cool experience to sleep in a tent and fall asleep to the waves crashing on the beach. Clean and new tents.
