The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was equipped to cook very simple meals. Everything was also very clean. All of the hotel staff were friendly and very attentive. The gym was good, although it should be noted that some treadmills are better than others. We did not try out the restaurant or pool, so we cannot comment on them.

The rooms were very spacious, ours was huge, we loved having the space-along side a fridge and mini kitchenette. The hotel was conveniently located Next door to the neighborhood wat. Which was amazing to explore. It’s also very close to the Royal Palace. The WiFi was great and fast. The staff were all great and very friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay will most definitely stay here again upon visiting again.

Our toilet flushing did not work well but housekeeping attended to it speedily.

Exceptional quality hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we spent a lot of time using the facilities at the sister hotel The Resort and this was a great bonus. We were treated extremely well by the staff in both hotels, Sopat (food and beverage manager) was so professional and went out of his way to make sure that we had anything that we wanted and always made a point of coming over to see us whenever we were around. Bo (security guy who tried to teach us Cambodian) was very patient with our efforts. Chor, Death, Bootie. The list is endless and we have never known such amazing customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The food was excellent at both hotels with a great variety. The pool was lovely. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Not much. If the indoor pool had a shallow area for small children. You did have access to a outdoor pool at the Palace Gateway Resort.

The Palace Gate is a very nice hotel. It is clean with modern amenities inside a historical building. The staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast was harty and superb. The location is good. I enjoyed my stay. The massage was also well worth it. The indoor pool was very refreshing.

Check out took a few extra minutes since they need to inspect the room before you leave.

You get access to the resort which is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute TukTuk. The resort has a much nicer pool. The pool at the hotel is indoor and fine, but it closes early. Breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly

I enjoyed the stay very much and recommend this place. Btw, there are two hotels with very similar names. It's good to confirm to taxi drivers that this is a Residence, not a Resort. There was no view from the terrace as we were on the 3d Floor, just over the roof. However, it was hot outside and we would not have used it anyway. Even with a great view.

A very nice and solid hotel in a colonial-style building. The outstandingly friendly service, perfect location near the Royal Palace. Just 10 min by walk to the Royal Palace and river, 3-4 min by tuk-tuk. Spacious rooms, and very comfy beds. We got upgraded and enjoyed two bedrooms and a kitchen. Super breakfast with a lot of choices. They even had vegan milk which is not common in other hotels. Also very quick room service. Was convinient to leave a child to hotel room and she was able to order a food meanwhile we were out. The hotel had a cosy inside pool with a gym. Maybe not convenient for children, but for me was a brilliant swim. The lobby has a strong lemongrass smell which was a bit strong for my taste, but pleasant. It was lovely that the staff welcomed us whenever we arrived at the front door by grab or tuk-tuk. Also very quiet and we had good sleep in that hotel. Lot of TV channels- one night we just watched local TV channels - very entertaining:) Sadly didnt have time to try spa.

This hotel looks a bit antique but it is in fact benefit as it has that old colonial charm, there are many old pictures on walls and it could look really similar back in the 40s. Definitely it is not one of that chain hotels. Spacious room, plentiful breakfast. Also of great importance is location, it is right next to the Palace Gardens and close to all major points in center of Phnom Penh.

We liked how safe we felt in a city in which we sometimes felt on edge. Perfect location, walkable to palace. Great indoor pool with the ability to use the large outdoor pool at the sister hotel across the square. Room was really big and Netflix on TV was a nice touch. Staff were lovely. Bag storage included and easy to arrange Grab Taxis

The room was beautiful, spacious with kitchen and balcony and lovely view. Very clean, good linen and robes. Breakfast was very good with Asian and western choices in a nice setting. Staff at reception, restaurant and room service were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect close to the Royal Palace, Museum and riverside. Management were very helpful and easy to communicate with whilst arranging my booking from Australia. Highly recommended.
