Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a shame that the roof-top bar is no longer in use; it would be great after-dark venue with 360degree views of the city.
Splendid building affording super views and lots of space in our rooms. Very smart bedroom & salon and a tip top modern bathroom. Good location for bars, shops, restaurants, etc. the best of which are just 750m away down by the river. Easy spot to find too, and a safe area, which is important in quite a busy city.

United KingdomIt’s a bit out of town and often felt like we where the only ones staying there - very quiet. Also the rooftop bar has closed and it is like a ghost town up there so not anywhere to really sit and relax outside of the room.
Really clean and the room was huge! Staff where nice.

CambodiaTV is a little small with no Smart TV features and grainy picture. Furniture on balcony was just one old worn out seat, would be nice to have 2 seats and a table. Breakfast is very average that I decided not to eat it and rather go out and eat nearby. Can get a great breakfast for low cost without going too far at Cafe Malay for example.
Really nice bright and big room with balcony. I like they have ceiling fans as well as AC in the rooms. Large bathroom with good water pressure. Hotel only a short walk to the center of town and riverside. Brand new lucky mart next door for any supplies. Quiet area.

GermanyOnly little suggestion: the lights in the room are bit dark, I could hardly see my stuff in the suitcase. Maybe a bit brighter light would be great.
Spacious room with 3 windows, comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower with wonderful hot water, very clean with fresh bedlinen and towels. I liked the interior design. Staff was very friendly, although difficulties in english language they provided me very helpful information about the area, activities and points of interest. Because I prefer small groups or better personel guide Mr Meng Phai receptionist gave me contact details of Mr Pek Vandy guide and tuktuk driver, who was a wonderful guide, very attentive with good english skills and great knowledge of the region. I liked his attitude and safe driving very much. I would recommend the Boutique Kampot Hotel.

AustraliaSad to leave
Everything, beautifully renovated, huge room, we had a balcony overlooking the salt workers roundabout but the room was spacious and quiet. Great Airconditioning. Generous beautifully presented breakfast. Reception helped organise our bus and ferry tickets after our stay and we were leaving for Kep, we had nearly given up that part of our trip when it got too complex. The bus also picked us up at the hotel, very grateful for that. Centrally located, short walk to the river.

It has an old world charm while having all modern amenities. Really loved the big room, which was very user friendly and well thought out. Breakfast was included with the price and the cost of in-house dinner meals was very reasonable. Really loved this place.

AustriaAbsolutely nothing to complain.
A fantastic hotel with a lot of flair. The room is spacious and exquisitly decorated. We had a balcony and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. The bathroom is outstanding. Everything is well maintained and of Highlights quality. The staff was excellent and helpful. We can highly recommend this hotel, it is located in the centre, but nevertheless very quiet. Absolutely worth the price.

United KingdomGood balconies would have benefitted from balcony furniture (chairs and table). Shame the rooftop was still not in use as consequence of COVID (or staff shortage?!).
A very nice, elegant hotel that is situated close to restaurants, bars etc. and yet is quiet. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely: big bedroom complete with sitting area. Very large bathroom with bath, separate spacious shower cabinet and twin washbasins. Two balconies which were actually big enough to sit out on. Breakfast was good with serve-yourself toast and a choice of cooked breakfasts, fruit, cereal etc. Front desk staff helped with booking transport. Really liked this oasis of calm.
