United StatesI will never forget this place. It is beautiful and right on the beach. Jump off the ferry and check right in, so easy. Bong's Guesthouse is comfortable and the staff are super friendly and helpful. PS You're making the right choice if you stay in M'Pai Bay.

Staff were so caring and lovely, I was ill and had to leave early to go back to mainland, the owner gave us some of our food tab for free to compensate for the extra night we paid. Restaurant downstairs is also very nice.

Situated right next to the pier in the lovely bay, Bong’s Guesthouse is in the perfect location. We were very lucky to receive a sea view room after not paying for it - it was gorgeous to wake up in the morning to views of the bay. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the owners also give you a 10% discount as a guest. There is also free water refills, snorkels and various activities for guests.

Best location in the village. The owners are fantastic, making you feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. The room was spacious and clean with an en suite and a big mosquito net. We were worried we’d be too hot in April’s heatwave but Jake made sure we had 2 fans to keep us cool. The balcony is a lovely place to hang out and the view couldn’t be better. On top of being a great place to stay the restaurant downstairs is 10/10 with big portions and delicious veggie options.

United StatesThis is no fault of the guesthouse, but we stayed during Khmer New Year so it was a bit noisy due to the central location, it also gets very hot in the rooms when the power goes off.
We were supposed to stay a few nights and ended up staying a week! Bongs is a great guesthouse with a really delicious restaurant downstairs (where you get a discount on food and free water refills as a guest). The room was spacious and comfortable with a large mosquito net. I was worried about the heat, but we had two big fans and a little rechargeable one for if the power went out. The location is very central and has an incredible view from the upstairs balcony. Absolutely incredible value for price!

United KingdomThe only negative was the heat, which is not something the property can deal with. Air conditioning is so expensive on the island that only a very few, very expensive places have it. The room had a permanent fan and portable fan which went some way to alleviate the heat. The only other thing is that the first night we slept with the window open to deal with the heat and trusting the mosquito net around our bed. Unfortunately we found in the morning that several small flies (not mosquitoes- sandflies I think?) were in the net and had bitten us several times. A couple managed to sneak back out through the netting when we tried to catch them - the holes were too large for them. We didn’t have this problem when we slept with the window closed. Otherwise we can’t really expect anything more from a place on a more secluded, less touristy place on the island
Place was brilliant, perfect location, good food, clean place! My Fiance and I had a great time and could have easily stayed longer, the owners and staff were especially good - very friendly and helpful and super chill to talk to. Free drinkable water was available if you have a bottle and 10% off food - their breakfast is some of the best food we’ve had in a while.

United KingdomThe toilets are classic asian toilets and require a bucket to flush! This wasn't the end of the world for us at all and don't let it put you off booking - but just something to be aware of.
Perfect location on the beach, could be a little noisy at night but to be expected in such a good location and being a wooden building! Rooms were basic but comfortable and bedding was clean. Beautiful terrace to sit and the food/drinks were absolutely delicious! Staff were so friendly and helpful as well.
