I will never forget this place. It is beautiful and right on the beach. Jump off the ferry and check right in, so easy. Bong's Guesthouse is comfortable and the staff are super friendly and helpful. PS You're making the right choice if you stay in M'Pai Bay.

I put 10 because I can't score 11 or more, just a fabulous place with amazing smiley staff and food. We extend 3 more nights because we feel straight away like home. Clean room, good bed, paddle snorkel kayak available. I very recommended+++ Thank you Bong's

Terribly hot at night, however this is standard across the island and 2 fans were provided.

Staff were so caring and lovely, I was ill and had to leave early to go back to mainland, the owner gave us some of our food tab for free to compensate for the extra night we paid. Restaurant downstairs is also very nice.

The rooms were warm with just fans and no AC

Situated right next to the pier in the lovely bay, Bong’s Guesthouse is in the perfect location. We were very lucky to receive a sea view room after not paying for it - it was gorgeous to wake up in the morning to views of the bay. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the owners also give you a 10% discount as a guest. There is also free water refills, snorkels and various activities for guests.

Best location in the village. The owners are fantastic, making you feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. The room was spacious and clean with an en suite and a big mosquito net. We were worried we’d be too hot in April’s heatwave but Jake made sure we had 2 fans to keep us cool. The balcony is a lovely place to hang out and the view couldn’t be better. On top of being a great place to stay the restaurant downstairs is 10/10 with big portions and delicious veggie options.

This is no fault of the guesthouse, but we stayed during Khmer New Year so it was a bit noisy due to the central location, it also gets very hot in the rooms when the power goes off.

We were supposed to stay a few nights and ended up staying a week! Bongs is a great guesthouse with a really delicious restaurant downstairs (where you get a discount on food and free water refills as a guest). The room was spacious and comfortable with a large mosquito net. I was worried about the heat, but we had two big fans and a little rechargeable one for if the power went out. The location is very central and has an incredible view from the upstairs balcony. Absolutely incredible value for price!

A fun place with really good food and lively bar that doesn't stay open late (yay!). Great view on the balcony. The front rooms get a view and a breeze. Overall comfy feel. Friendly and helpful staff.

The only negative was the heat, which is not something the property can deal with. Air conditioning is so expensive on the island that only a very few, very expensive places have it. The room had a permanent fan and portable fan which went some way to alleviate the heat. The only other thing is that the first night we slept with the window open to deal with the heat and trusting the mosquito net around our bed. Unfortunately we found in the morning that several small flies (not mosquitoes- sandflies I think?) were in the net and had bitten us several times. A couple managed to sneak back out through the netting when we tried to catch them - the holes were too large for them. We didn’t have this problem when we slept with the window closed. Otherwise we can’t really expect anything more from a place on a more secluded, less touristy place on the island

Place was brilliant, perfect location, good food, clean place! My Fiance and I had a great time and could have easily stayed longer, the owners and staff were especially good - very friendly and helpful and super chill to talk to. Free drinkable water was available if you have a bottle and 10% off food - their breakfast is some of the best food we’ve had in a while.

The rooms get very hot past 9am and restaurant below opens at 8.30am but this good excuse to get out and enjoy the island.

Great location in M’pai bay, friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant attached with 10% off if you are a guest at Bongs. Room is basic as advertised but bed was comfy and shower was okay.

The toilets are classic asian toilets and require a bucket to flush! This wasn't the end of the world for us at all and don't let it put you off booking - but just something to be aware of.

Perfect location on the beach, could be a little noisy at night but to be expected in such a good location and being a wooden building! Rooms were basic but comfortable and bedding was clean. Beautiful terrace to sit and the food/drinks were absolutely delicious! Staff were so friendly and helpful as well.

Great location, right on the beach and by the pier. The staff were very friendly and the guesthouse gave a nice homely feel which we really liked. They had a kayak to hire for a small price and 10% off your bill in the restaurant for staying there! We enjoyed the balcony and sitting on here of an evening

Perfect location right on the beach! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great, very fresh and they accept card. The room had a mosquito net and a place to lock your valuables. Beautiful view from the guest balcony. It does get warm but the fan does a pretty good job to cool you down.

I stayed there for 6 nights, and it was the best decision I could have made. Not only was the room super comfortable, but the location was perfect. Dining at the restaurant is the best; the food is delicious, and I tried a bit of everything. And the staff is the best—friendly, helpful in every way, and a great atmosphere. Loved it.

It was very hot with no air con but that’s the case for most properties in M’Pay Bay.

Location is straight off the pier so really easy to find. Central for restaurants etc. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was great.

There is nothing I can fault.

The property is the first property on the island which is really convenient, it was clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful. There are snorkels there you can borrow, games to play, the food was amazing! This place is one of our favourite stays and we have been travelling for 8 weeks around Asia.

Not a complaint, but don't expect luxury here - everywhere in this bay is a bit rustic and open to the elements (part of its charm) and so you have to lower some of your expectations accordingly (eg. fan only, no flush toilet, etc)

The location couldn't be more perfect. Nice rooms. Hosts are lovely and they also have a great restaurant with a discount for guests.
