- Lots of ants and some lizards in room. Aware of that it is common in hotel rooms in these countries, but this was a little too much. Dead bugs and lots of ants in the room make it feel a bit unclean. - Was a bit disappointed in the laundry service, they tried to charge us for 2 kg more than we left them. - Quite noisy.

- Nice roof top bar/breakfast area. - Good breakfast but slow service. - Great balcony if your room is located on the upper floor, otherwise not very nice views.

We loved our stay at Apsara. Lovely clean room, good AC, comfortable bed and pillows, along with a cute outdoor balcony space with a view of the ocean. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee fantastic 😋 Its only a 2 minute walk from the pier and in the heart of all the restaurants etc. Set back so nice and quiet also.

Had an issue with an overzealous housecleaner. Spoke with management - it was addressed and I was satisfied with how it was handled. A/C in first room (2 stays) was a bit leaky, but didn't really impact me much. Power goes out for 20 minutes or so a few times a day, but that's not the hotel's issue as it hits entire town - just an fyi.

The management were great - helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, just off the main street but close to everything. The Sky Bar upstairs is awesome - friendly staff and great food. Hot water and A/C are hard to find on Koh Rong and this has both. Bed was comfy. Good wi-fi signal.

There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, which allowed the geckoes to run in and out freely. There's no lift so be prepared to carry you backpacks up and down..

In the beginning the receptionist tried to charge me a 6% fee for a card payment and then, after i asked her why, she changed it to 3% fee.Finally i paid cash to avoid the extra charge.The breakfast would have been ok if the eggs would have been properly boiled and not having gelatine texture.

The rooms don’t have a TV which would have been nice for days it rained.

The property was centrally located, a 2min walk from the main pier. It has everything you need - clean bed, air conditioning, private bathroom. Overall it was clean, comfortable and staff are very kind and helpful. The communication and assistance from the guesthouse owners/staff to organise transport etc was excellent and much appreciated.

The shower is not great, always cold and poor pressure. The hose next to the toilet works better. Out of the 8 days there, the wifi only allowed me to connect on 1 day. Unless you have either of the 2 top rooms, the view is really not good.

The room was clean, fresh and spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the mornings was always enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and kind. We became stranded on the island due to the stoppage of boat travel. The staff allowed us to keep our room and cleaned it for us. They also helped us with news of when the next boat was coming.

Very, very overpriced (especially in low season) for what you get. No fridge, TV or coffee in the room but there was a kettle. Make sure you have plenty of time for breakfast, it’s extremely slow. Obviously it’s a laid back island but perhaps it’s best to have someone making the drinks whilst the other makes the food. There were two members of staff where the girl did everything & not sure what the boy did. Took half an hour to get a coffee!! Wi-Fi is awful/non existent. No water refills (for the price, this should be a given). When we asked for water at breakfast, they said they don’t have any (!!) Noone offered to clean our room during a 3 night stay.

No one is ever at front desk. Wifi never really worked. Air conditioner leaked tons of water down the wall & made a huge puddle on the floor between the wall & the bed. Bed is an old memory foam mattress that sinks in. The grooves stay which was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Two pillows on the bed - one was very hard and the other very soft. No cover on the duvet and we doubted it is cleaned after each guest. Ants everywhere so no snacks or food can be kept in room. No fridge. Kettle in the room but was dusty with dead ants inside. No instant coffee, whitener, sugar, coffee cups or spoon in room. Bathroom shower is directly across from the toilet so it gets wet after every use. Extremely low pressure on the shower. Drain on the bathroom floor and in the sink constantly smelled rancid like sewage. Previous guest's hair covering the shower drain. No toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap). Towels, sheets and bedding were not changed during our 6 night stay. Ashtray outside room had previous guest's old cigarette butts in it. Dead plants in room. Units 1 - 4 look directly at the building's wall in front of them. Units 5 & 6 have a view BUT they are right below the bar so you hear everything like the blender, dishes clanging, woman sitting on the floor chopping raw chicken(?), people singing and shouting, loud music, partying, chairs being moved especially in the morning during breakfast and at night. Music was turned up so loud one night, the bass was shaking the things on the table in our room. Bar is open to the public and the only access is up the stairwell past all the rooms so not a lot of privacy and you hear everyone going up and down all night. Stairwell is super narrow and steep. The breakfast is just a choice of eggs or fruit. Our first morning, we went up to find the man who works at the bar sleeping in a hammock between the tables and bar and then another morning, he was on a mattress on the floor in the lobby.

Owners were nice. They own a store just down the walkway and gave us the 3-in-1 coffee packets for free that we were going to purchase when we went to buy supplies for the room. Nothing else positive besides that unfortunately. It would have maybe made a bit of sense if it was 1/4 of the price but when paying $70 CAD a night, you don't expect to have all the negatives listed below.

the staff was not very eager and partially unprofessional. they told us several times breakfast was included just to then give us the bill after we had eaten as the boss said the staff had been mistaken. that could have been solved in a better way. the room was never cleaned during our stay and things upon checkin we had to ask stuff. there was no bedding on the blankets. overall hospitality was poor. Internet was basically not functioning. considering all that, we found it too pricey.
