Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
We caught the 1pm boat from Sihanoukville direct to Pagoda Beach. The staff met us from the boat and carried our bags across the sand, which we really appreciated. The resort was beautiful and felt exclusive. The bungalows were spacious and very clean. The outside bathrooms were fun and a novelty which we enjoyed (we didn't mind the odd gecko or frog!). We had the pool to ourselves on one day and Happy Hour was great value! We also tried the massages and felt very spoilt. The beach is beautiful and the staff work hard to keep it pristine. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner; it was quiet resort and that suited us for a couple of days of absolute bliss! Beware, the sun is super strong - Factor 50 is a must!

BrazilThe menu is very limited.and they should build a wooded way to reach the beach because the sand gets so hot that even with flip flops its impossible to walk.
The staff is amazing. Always smiling and trying to help. The beach is rhe best in the island. We loved the outdoor shower 1

AustraliaAnaya Koh Rong was in a stunning, peaceful location The beautiful beach was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were very fortunate to have our room upgraded to a Seaview room with a plunge pool. The room was clean and very comfortable. They exceeded my expectation further when my daughter left her iPad on the island. I asked if they could post it to my home address as we were leaving in a couple of days. Instead they not only organised for it to be ferried across to the mainland and taxied to our hotel but they also requested the taxi driver to do it at a discounted rate.

Hong KongThere was nothing for young kids to enjoy the stay. Our daughter is 6 years old and she got bored quickly. We stayed 3 days and that was too much for her. It would be great to have board games, cartoons, toys to play in the sand, floats for the pool, a swing, etc. Also, the place is very remote and I was wondering about our safety (there had been thefts in the next door compound as we were there). At last, a bit more variety in the dishes could offer a wider choice as we don't want to be eating the same things every day.
we really liked the staff, very helpful and kind. We also liked the food very much as it was clearly cooked fresh. Obviously the surroundings are stunning! And the room very tidy and clean.

PortugalWe had an amazing experience, definitely we will never forget our stay at Anaya. We were there 4 days in mid February. The staff was reallly friendly and nice, they were always wanting to meet our needs. When we arrive they offered us a delicious juice and then we were able to got to our rooms at 10am which usually is not possible in other hotels. The bedroom is very clean, very well decorated and near the beach :) definitely the best hotel breakfast we ever had, we loved the fruit and the cookies!! The beach was amazing, and the staff was always asking if we wanted something to drink. The massages are amazing, had a lot of them :) and definitely recommend their restaurant, specially the prawns that were delicious and the risotto. And don’t forget to always ask for a mango juice! Thank you very much to the hotel, everything was amazing. We had a wonderful experience and we would really love to come back

FranceThe pool area could be improved. It is quite exposed, doesn’t offer any shade and there werent very many sun loungers when we were there, so it isn’t used as much as it might have been. That said, the sea is perfect.
Beautiful location on a quiet beach but with plenty of eating options to choose from. The rooms are simply furnished but very comfortable and we really liked the outside bathroom. The hotel offers plenty of activities including bike and scooter rentals and the staff were very helpful with any requests we had.

AustraliaThe pool is the suite was a little worn out. It was sometimes difficult to know what was going on with dinner specials etc.
The hotel is located on a very quiet and calm beach. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are attended to, happy and comfortable.

United KingdomFood at the hotel is ok, but could definitely be improved. There is a lot of rubbish on the Island & it would be good to see the hotels in the area take the initiative to try to help clear up.
The staff were all amazing, they were so friendly and helpful, & the location is beautiful. The transfer booked by the hotel made travelling there easy. There's 5 other hotels along the beach which gives other options for dinner that you can walk to. Scooter hire is a great way to explore the island & just $15 a day from the hotel.

FranceFood was correct but not amazing: it was better at Tamu next door to be honest but you can navigate between the hotels so I'd recommend to go there
Everything was just perfect the moment we arrived at Anaya. The personnel was adorable, always available to make you happy or provide some advice for your stay at Koh Rong. The size of the hotel allows you to live a privileged experience on the island. Free paddles are available on top of amazing massages you can book (one of the best I've done to be honest) and motorbike rentals etc...

GermanyEven though the staff was friendly, they were not fully attentive and only reception staff speaks good English Breakfast should be improved - they offer partly buffet partly menu with eggs benedict for example But this is then served on toast - they should focus on the basics first before trying for more „fancy“ dishes Same applies to the Restaurant Food for Lunch and dinner - the atmosphere is simply Not very inviting - it would be much nicer to sit on the beach and only offer local food if the Western food cannot be well prepared Overall we felt like some minor fixes would improve the overall experience
The beach is amazing - cristal clear water and the staff cleans it daily (in case of some plastic) Massage was also very good Rooms were spacious and clean with Nice Outdoor bathrooms Staff was friendly Cooperation with Partner Hotel Tamu is great as Food and athmosphere is great there

United KingdomWe stayed just under a week and had a truly wonderful stay here and could not recommend it enough. The rooms were really fresh and beautiful and cleaned daily and refreshed towels when needed. The actual area for relaxing in the hotel was the best, and in our opinion, definitely the best on Pagoda Beach and we think on the whole island from what we saw in terms of value for money too. There are plenty of sunbeds for all the guests so we were never without one, even if we only came out later. The area by the pool was super, and down by the beach was also fabulous. At happy hour every day someone would come down to see if we wanted drinks which was a great touch, we would also order our lunch at the restaurant and have it down on our sunbeds which was lovely. It’s a lovely restaurant space, breakfast was really fab there, evening the food was absolutely delicious in Anaya, but personally for the evening we preferred the vibe in the sister resort Tamu. We would start our evening with drinks on the table and chairs on the beach in Anaya and wonder down to Tamu for dinner which was just perfect every evening! (Super and reasonably priced wine lists in both too - Provence rose yes please!). The hotel have free use of paddle boards, and also a kayak at Tamu you can also use which was really great. They have various activities that you can also do which were fab. We enjoyed a few massages at the hotel too which were really really great and a beautiful spot. The staff were unbelievable throughout and made our time there. Nothing was too much trouble, when ordering tuktuks, booking the moped, everything was very easy which was great. We got the pagoda beach boat on our way to turn island which was fab, but due to time got a different one leaving and they were fantastic with organising everything for us including transfers into Phnom Penh.

GermanyEverything was perfect. The Dinner is more traditional in Temu. So we preferred this:)
We were 2 nights in Anaya and 3 nights in Temu (the resort belongs together, just 2 minutes by feet) and we really enjoyed both resorts. The staff and hotelmanager was super kind and helpful also with organized taxis, boat etc. The rooms/tent was perfectly clean and the beaches are the most beautiful in this area. Kindly recommend both hotels.

France- Sea activities were not really available (too much wind to paddle, too much light at night to see the plankton) but that’s related to the weather - Outside bathroom: as a person with a phobia of insect, I will definitely not take another hotel where the bathroom is outside, it is by definition less clean (wind, insects, leaves…), cold when there is wind… - Breakfast : nice but could have a little more diversity
What we liked: - Very welcoming and helpful people (thanks Raphael and all the others for making us enjoy our stay) - Beautiful place, we had a bit of wind but must be really nice to enjoy the sea when it’s calmer - Nice food and cocktails at the restaurent, really liked the sea food menu at their sister hotel Tamu - Convenient : can rent scooter (15$ / full day when we were staying) - Massages are really nice, especially aroma oil massage (which are full body, 35$ for one hour when we were there) - Location : not far from both sides of the south part of the island, the scooter is enough to make the whole tour of this southern part in one day

United Kingdom1. This is as close to paradise as we have ever made it. 2. The only thing better than the pure beauty of this resort were the staff! 3. They helped me to rent a scooter (with no hassle or worries) 4. The recommended other beaches with restaurants to visit (GO AND SEE LONG BEACH FOR SUNSET!) 5. The restaurant and food were also incredible. 6. We just wish we could have stayed longer! 7. Everyone was so helpful, especially as we were travelling with a 6-month-old baby, Bodhi 8. They accommodated us in changing our boat back to the mainland at the last minute (thanks again!) 9. The massages on site are amazing! Treat yourself!
