There were only two bathrooms for all the guests. No ensuite facilities.

The location was magical, overlooking the Indian Ocean in the heart of Mombasa Old Town. The staff were exceptional, the food and iced coffees were brilliant! Was a truly wonderful experience!

Our taxi from the airport took the most amazing round about route. Like a conch shell. I always sit up front with the driver and I could clearly see, once I spotted her phone, what a long distance she'd travelled that according to Maps, was walkable.; under 2 miles. You will be offered many options on arrival... walk clear of the melee. Consider Bolt/Uber.

I was impressed at how they cleared up their patch... the street was swept 50 meters either side of the entrance, and once in there the view was gorgeous. It's an oasis.

They can provide reasonable water refill, dorm was empty when I stayed there - so- a bit boring , location can be hard for tuktuks to reach but good to explore old town

Old world charm, creek view, big washroom, big dorm room, lovely mirror in the room, fans provided (at least to me) , staff is friendly and helpful and told me about other Tulia so I headed there.

Slight difficulty in finding the location in old town.

Great place to stay for a few days , difficult to find at first but once you are inside the location it's great and clean. Their food is great and affordable.

Reception staff seemed disinterested in general and when I asked questions. Rooms lacked proper ventilation and could get hot. Shower pressure was really weak.

Excellent location both in the old town and near the water. Staff was mostly friendly. Each bottom bed had a fan assigned.

This is nothing special related to Tulia, but to the Old Town itself: - All surroundings are quite dirty, and it looks like it hasn't been properly managed in a lot of years. I am not sure about safety, but I wouldn't have liked to arrive late when it's dark, not at all. - The heat was so intense I couldn't sleep properly in the dorm.

- Staff helped us even when we had checked out, so we could have a shower before leaving the place! That's very helpful - The views from the restaurant are beautiful

Brown, Eric and the team at Tulia were amazing! The accommodation is central and has an amazing view over the Mombasa Harbour with a great restaurant on site offering home cooked local meals at great prices. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well decorated. Despite unfortunately only staying one night at Tulia, they did everything to make our stay an enjoyable one and I would not hesitate to stay again.

You can’t escape the heat but that’s no fault of the place I guess. Also a bit far off but located directly in the old town so that’s nice again.

Amazing view from the balcony!!! In general a very cozy and small place with friendly and helpful stuff. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Some activities like a sunset boat ride are organized which I can recommend.

Nothing. It exceeded my expectations!

Tulia Old Town is absolutely fantastic! My room had a balcony with a gorgeous view, room was spacious and clean, and bed was very comfy! The food was delicious - especially the fish of the day! Staff were extremely friendly too. I travelled East Africa for 2 weeks and this was my favourite place to stay. Would thoroughly recommend.
