The resort does not actually grant access to much of the beach. We had to go to Safari Beach resort to access the beach properly and go snorkelling, which is a shame. The food in the general dining is quite bland and the servers seemed to be rationing the sausages and bacon! The pool is not deep so expert swimmers might be disappointed. We flew into Moi airport then had to endure a 3-hour hot ride (including a pontoon crossing) to get to Diani.

The resort is right next to the Indian Ocean. The breeze is amazing. It is reputed to be the best resort on the Diani beach stretch and it lived up to its reputation. On our first night we had dinner in the gardens with grills. That was lovely. The spa was great. Fantastic massage! Very polite and helpful staff.

Some staff were excellent (i.e. Nancy and the chefs at Zanzibar), but others need more training on being proactive (i.e. had to keep getting sun bed covers ourselves in the mornings, even though staff could see we needed them), and others training on being more hospitable (i.e. we understand it’s low season and boring as not so busy, but gossiping together loudly in guest areas should not be a norm).

The endless, beautiful pools!! And the large rooms with very comfortable beds! Delicious food! Very flexible and warm welcome and departure.

The views from my room, the architecture giving off the Egyptian/Rome vibe, the complimentary cocktail, the staffs, the breakfast, every single thing was exceptional and tastefully done. I had an amazing time there… already making plans to visit again as I could only stay a night this time.

As I was only there for one night, there is not much to say. I however strongly recommend they fumigate the property. Found a few cockroaches in the bathroom and one made it on to the jacket I hung in the closet 😒

This property is GORGEOUS. I was only there for 24 hours, but the pools were impeccable, the food was good (I had breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea included in my package) and since it was low season, it was a steal. The staff was also so hospitable and the free transfer to Diani Ukunda airport was much appreciated. The room was impeccably clean and well appointed. Overall one of the best resorts that I have ever stayed in.

Found the staff at the restaurant by the ocean quite slow most especially during dinner time. Otherwise all was well.

I loved the welcome experience. It was my birthday weekend and the hotel prepared my room and set the mood for the bday weekend🤩🤩 They also gave me cake during the birthday dinner and the staff and band sang to me. It was special🎉🎉🎉 Loved the ocean views, the landscaping, the rooms. I loved the food; breakfast was delcious 😋and it was thoughtful to have an evening complimentary tea with snacks which was always mouthwatering. I really enjoyed my stay, the place is really beautiful😇 shoutout to Joy who works in the reservation department, she outdid herself to make my stay a pleasant one🤗🤗🤗

They should explain details when check in because we all coming from different place with its rules. Where I am from. When u do book, only your ID and info needed when checking in but it is different here. They check paperwork for everyone staying in the room with you so you see, if my partner didn't bring his ID then it should have been something else. I feel like it should be detail. Another is that when u are a first timer, u should have a proper tour to where the restaurant, spa. Etc.... are before heading to your room will have been proper one. Thanks you and sorry.

You cannot swim in the beach facing the hotel. It was very shallow and full or seaweed and after the tide came it was very deep reaching the restaurant balcony with crazy waves

Everything was excellent and the staff were helpful. They organized several activities inside the resort with free cocktails and tea time. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We also tried the spa, it was very relaxing. Might be expensive but totally worth it if you wanna have a luxurious experience.

I didn’t like that the gym was too small. There’s not much you can do in there. They should definitely invest in building a more bigger gym to match the facilities of the resort. Other than that, everything here is excellent!

Too many flies when eating at restaurant by the beach. Not sure what can be done about it. Maybe look into some fly repellent techniques?

Stunning property. Pool could’ve been cleaner though. Didn’t feel comfy swimming and seeing how some patched on the bottom and sides inside are dark and mounds looking. Understand leaves and debris from the nature around but the pool can be kept well well scrubbed and clean.
