Rooms and equipment need uplift, e.g. AC blowing but not really cooling, games broken, TV just 8 channels, Wifi signal weak in most areas. Cleaning frequent but not thorough enough, both rooms and restaurant. Price for a double room is good but for parents with 2 children (2 and 11) we were requested to book 2 rooms at much higher cost, though extra bed would have been sufficient.

Very nice resort with garden, palms and right at the Indian Ocean beach. Good outdoor pool(s), clean and sufficiently big. Staff friendly and supportive, always trying and willing to help. Frequent cleaning service with backfills and towel replace. Foot mixed, some delicious local specialties and freshly prepared foot, e.g. fish for dinner or omelette for breakfast

The food and the service. Everything took ages- a bottle of water at the pool bar, dinner, the bill, no computers seemed to be working. We had to ask 2 or 3 times for the same thing. I have noticed the same people seemed to be on duty the whole time we were here, from very early in the morning till late at night. I assume they were just exhausted- so it would be good for the management to ensure their employees have some rest. This will result in higher quality service for sure.

Charming cottages and villas, with big rooms, huge bed and good water pressure. The furnishing is very dated but the fact that the rooms were clean and smeeled nice compensated. We asked for a quiet room and were given one in a villa towards the end of the garden- very peaceful and tranquil. The food and service were really bad but we did have a few kind people like Grace and Kelvin in the restaurant for example- while waiting for more than 40 min for our dinner, my son (4) got really upset. They brought him a soup and bread rolls with butter on the house.

The bed was rather hard. Salt water for the shower was not brilliant. Took a long time to be shown to our room once we checked in as the room was not ready, this was at 2pm when you could check in at midday had to wait 30 mins

The hotel was well set out, large lobby and close to the beach. Restaurant staff were friendly. Situated at the far end of Diani Beach so reasonably quiet.I do like the idea of a quiet area with pool which you don’t often get

The wifi is very poor. The staff is very very slow. They were kind but seriously need to be better organized and teach them a little more efficiency.

- food is quite mediocre, tried lunch a la carte, buffet dinner and breakfast. Breakfast options are especially limited - fruits are very scarce, just pineapple and watermelon, with a few passion fruits - while staff tried to be supportive and overall were nice, the service is still not really efficient and many many kick-ups which could easily be avoided, including many things mentioned in other reviews. The check in - although agreed in advance on the time of arrival was delayed 2+ hours, we had to ask for towels during the day to be brought to the rooms from cleaning etc - beach towels system - you have to go all the way to the pool area to get them, risking a change there would be no one there or no towels at all - in general the hotel is very outdated, shabby and needs proper maintenance and renovation. While it has somewhat a rustic feel to it, it’s definitely not matching the description or the claimed standard. As we stayed over the new years - it was very highly priced, in other times I would have never paid this much for this kind of hotel - if you are looking to go around and visit other places it is a bit far away, but on the plus side - tuk tuk and taxis are available and easy to get places - next to the hotel there is a mosque and a public area where lots of people hang out in the afternoon, so it gets very crowded

Highly recommended, and easily reachable right there - proximity to the Kongo river

Very weak wife and water not being included in the paid meals. I found it mean that meals paid can only include tea and coffee but you cannot switch any of the with a bottle of water without paying an extra 400 sh.

We had an issue with the payment. Unfortunately, we were charged twice (once with booking.com and on-side).

The location is excellent - directly at the beach. The rooms are spacious. And the staff very helpful.
