Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSpotlessly clean room, in a great location, within easy walking distance of two metro stations and the fantastic neighbourhood of Akasaka. The rooms are a little on the small side (as is typical in Japan) but well equipped (fridge, hair dryer etc)and very clean. Pyjamas are also provided - a nice touch! Would definitely recommend

SwitzerlandRooms are small and there is no closet, only a rack with some hangers on the wall, hence not very convenient for a stay that exceeds 2-3 nights. Breakfast was an unpleasant experience: No freshly brewed coffee, no fresh pastries, very crowded and with the atmosphere of a school canteen. Recommend to go to one of the cafés around Akasaka station and have breakfast there.
Among the middle-class Tokyo business hotels, this one is slightly more comfortable regarding design, lobby area, service etc. It is a short walk from Akasaka Subway station and the vibrant Akasaka area, yet in a rather quiet area.

IsraelThe room we stayed in, with one double bed, had the the bed adjacent to the wall, with feet-side access to one person - which we did not expect for a 4-star hotel, but it was tolerable for a one-night stay, and compared to the price.
The hotel is at excellent location (easy wak to the imperial gardens), has a reasonably priced (for Tokyo) on-site overnight parking with a direct access to the lobby, and serves a good breakfast. It is reasonably priced, and it served us well for a one-night stay prior to departure.

Clean, modern room and friendly staff. Two train stations nearish, approx 10min to Akasaka station or a little more time if you want to get to Tameike-sannō station for Gonzales line. Convenience stores like 7/11 near by.

United KingdomIt would be great if the bar area could be used for coffee in the mornings, as a place to meet up with friends and plan the day. The room was small and could have been better planned. No real bedside space.

United KingdomThe rooms are quite compact and can get stuffy after a couple of days.
Lots of toiletries, free laundry machines, convenient enough location. Very friendly reception staff. Good value, although a couple of metro stations are at least 10 minutes away

AustraliaWe stayed in this hotel a number of years ago with twin beds, that room was quite acceptable for size acknowledging that typically, Japanese city rooms are smaller. At the time it was also good value. Unfortunately, on his occasion the room was a double bed type with the room being much smaller, and the bed against a wall. Uncomfortable for longer stays (5 days) and we would not opt for this type again. A twin room was offered for the remainder of our stay at a much greater cost. Probably look elsewhere for our next stay in Tokyo.
Great location in a nice area, close enough to subways and variety of restaurants. Efficient and attentive staff. Was given a high floor with view as requested.

Hong KongThe room is on the slightly small side, may be cramped if you have large suitcases. The hot water in the shower took a little time to get used to. Not many TV channel choices.
Great location with plenty of small streets to explore nearby. Akasaka Hikawa Shrine is about 5 minute walk. Asakasa station and shopping about 15 minutes. Room was clean and provided slippers, robe, pyjamas.

SpainI realized that the rooms on the other side are a little bit bigger than our side. I would be very happy and satisfied if the hotel would provide us those a bit bigger room, as 3-people family.
Very clean and comfortable room. They clean the room and replace the bathroom stuff regularly. There is a boiler and tea in the room. The location is also super comfortable there are 2 metro lines in 10 minutes walking; Akasaka and another one where the Ginza line passes. Hotel is also very close to the Akasaka restaurants, bars, several supermarkets. I was worried about the size of the room for 3-person when I read the comments, however it was not that bad. We managed to fit and enjoy 1 week stay as family, with our 11-years old.

United States of AmericaThe bed was harder than we're used to but not as hard as others we had during the trip. Tight fit but that seemed to be the common theme for most hotels.
The location was close to a few different train lines that connected to different areas of the city. The 7-11 directly connected via elevator was helpful on rainy days to grab a quick snack. It was in a quiet area too but within walking distance to a few bars and restaurants. The water pressure and shower were one of the best we had too.
