I like everything!

We did not have a chance to eat breakfast ( we woke up late lol) but the location was really good. It was really near Citadel, the Roman theatre, market and Rainbow St, etc.

the AC was working only intermittently and it could get very warm in the room, but nothing major :)

very nice location, right below the citadel. the room was spacious and clean. we had 2 toilets and 2 showers to share amongst 6 women and it worked out quite well. what I appreciated mostly was the help and extreme kindness of the staff, especially Mohammad. thanks so much!

Everything was ok

The Castle Star Hotel has great location in Old city of Amman, very close to shops and landmarks. The room was very clean and provide comfort and great view.The staff is very friendly and provide great hospitality. Also very helpful advising us how to get around.There is a beautiful view from the terrace-my favourite spot to feel the pace of the city. The hotel offers also good breakfast in traditional Jordanian style. The fridge in the room is a big advantage .

Something to improve shower

Nothing. If you need a 5 star hotel, don’t book this. If you want access to Amman and feel like family then book now.

Everything. The staff and location are what make this hostel. There is nothing they couldn’t do for us. The pick up from the airport was seamlessly done. The rooms were basic but comfortable. Room 1 has a fantastic view of the Roman Theatre. The terrace is a great spot to relax. You can get into the old city in ten minutes on foot. We ate a meal cooked by the staff as they broke fast in the evening during Ramadan which was excellent and very welcoming.

The location was more than super. It was just next to the Citadel of Amman with a perfect view from the room window. Everybody was incredibily kind and generous, helpful etc. It was a satisfying experience.

The staff was amazing and they went above and beyond to make you feel at home and like a part of the family. They cooked food for the guests and they gave great recommendations on places to go in the city. It really made me see how hospitable Jordanians are and it gave me a new appreciation for the culture. I will definitely be back!

The Castle Star is great hostel, not only good price and location, but also nice staff and the best view. Staff ( maybe is owner, I am not sure ) helped us found the driver from airport to Amman, tell us a lot of useful information. On the night, the terrace can see old town's light, I loved it. Even Amman was very cold in February, but The Castle Star had hot water for shower, so don't warry about that. The most important thing is the bathrooms are separated for men and women, which is very helpful for female solo travelers. If you are looking for a place where you can meet kind locals, don't miss this place!

I don't know how it is possible that when I get the confirmation from Booking, the tax and other charges are indicated as included. However when I was physically there to pay, the hostel added extra, and explained that it was for tax and other charges. Also being almost at the top of a hill makes walking up a bit tiring

It was in a quiet area. The room has a nice view of the Roman amphitheatre.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The location was great for downtown . Comfortable shared lounge and kitchen to prepare food and make drinks. The shower was nice but took awhile to warm up as solar panels.

Nice view at night.Shower room are clean and can rent a hair drier ,then staff are very kindness.They treated me same like Jordanian, told me fair price on something. I got back the hostel again while I left my cloth.They kept it then gave me kindness like tea and something to eat by homemade!!Furthermore they arranged taxi to go to airport bus station,told me reasonable time using taxi.(uber taxi was expensive time)

Very charming welcome and helpful staff. Not luxurious but clean, adequate and well-appointed. Parking spaces right next to the property. A very short walking distance to the amazing Roman theater and convenient access to the Amman fortress on the other side. A very pleasant experience altogether, good value for money and caring staff
