How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The stairs were a challenge, however we did receive assistance o. Our arrival.
Loved it. Centrally located, close to Trevi Fountain, shopping, restaurants and cafes.

Nothing.
It was comfortable and clean, and lovely and quiet even though it is right by the Trevi fountain. It was like going into a sanctuary at the end of a day sightseeing. The people were so friendly and helpful too. Oh and it’s right next to an gelateria!!

Best location in Rome. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed with our 11 month old and it was absolutely perfect. Will definitely return to this hotel if we return to Rome.

The morning breakfast was exquisite the cappuccinos and croissants were delicious!! The location was perfect for everything we had planned and the staff were incredible! We were celebrating our honeymoon and they were very kind to show us directions and restaurants that they thought we would enjoy!! We can’t wait to go back!

The room itself was quite small, but we didn't even spend much time in the room so it wasn't an issue. The hotel staff and location made up for it!
The location was amazing - we were only in Rome for 1 night for an early flight the next day but were able to see everything we needed from the location. The staff was very friendly, and provided breakfast for us in the morning as well as airport transportation.

The smell of cleaners/chemicals was very strong in the room after every visit from the cleaners. It was a bit disturbing, but we were able to open the windows to remove it.
Location is excellent, just around the corner from Trevi Fountain. One of us was travelling with coeliac disease, and the breakfast options were very good! Also: a very good gluten free restaurant is located just around the corner! Also the staff was very polite and helpful. We got many good tips for travelling from them! Will surely stay here in the future as well!

Breakfast was excellent - great selection of fruits, cheeses and pastries. This hotel was located in a great area - access to various parts of Rome was simple. Amazing number of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Air conditioner leaked when used - I forgot to alert the property on check out as we were rushed, but I am sure they would address this issue if we brought it up.
Location is very convenient - once you find entrance to hotel (it’s not too difficult). Staff are extremely friendly and happy to help with anything! Very secure. We didn’t have any problems with noise as per previous reviews 🤷🏼♀️

If you are an older traveller please be aware there is no lift as its an old building, but staff are very helpful

Can’t fault it.
The room was beautiful and exceptionally kept & clean. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We had the airport pick up and drop off service which was no fuss at all. The location was perfect, literally on the door step of the Trevi fountain, 10mins from the pantheon, 15-20 min walk to the colosseum and 30 min walk to the Vatican. Really good atmosphere locally with many options for food, coffees & wine. Can’t rate this place highly enough or recommend it more. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Rome…this is the one!

Nothing stands out just a heads up there is not an elevator so not for those with limited movement.
Great location, still super quiet despite being so close to the trevi fountain. Walkable from the train but they also offered to help us get cabs to and from the airport.

The steps!!!
Breakfast was great and freshly made coffee to order. The location is idealic only thing is the stairs leading up to reception and rooms. Not for people with walking impairment.

Very loud at night so if you’re a light sleeper, take ear plugs!
Amazing location so close to the Trevi. Staff were very helpful and friendly, perfect location for a short break.
