Amazing - small and personal, the room was very nice. The breakfast was great, the staff very friendly. The pool area is very nice for relax. Many great restaurants in the area and plenty to see and do. It’s a must visit!

There is nothing not to like about this small hotel, it's staff, the amenities and beautiful location.

This place has everything you need for an Italian dream vacation. It is located in the Green Heart of Umbria...very close to hundreds of ancient sites and only an hour from Rome. They set up amazing dinners for us and advised on the best locations to tour. The view is spectacular and the rooms are elegant. Natalia prepares delicious food and the best cappuccino.

There is nothing you can’t love at this property!

Travelling in Umbria and staying at Torre Palombara is a unique & magic travel back in time! The scenery & the villa are unique! A wonderful renovated villa, warm, super clean and comfortable was even more beautiful than the pictures could capture. The host, Leonardo represents what we call in Greece real philoxenia (hospitality) and we cannot thank him enough for the experience!!! Natalia, took care of our room so nicely and served an amazing breakfast with local food. We felt like home! There is no question, we will come back again to this majestic place! Gina & Miltos

We loved everything! Our host Leonardo could not have been more attentive and caring, including making wonderful suggestions for places to visit and, very importantly, for dinner. Natalia who took care with breakfast preparations, was delightful. The property, a converted dovecote and farmhouse, has been in Leonardo’s family since the 15th century, and the interior design is thoughtful, comfortable and stylish. We had the rooms in the dovecote, on two levels, with magnificent views. They were spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There were several relaxing reception rooms, equally tastefully furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was served on the terrace with wonderful views.

Torre Palombara is a beautiful house located in an idyllic setting with views across the valley towards Narni and San Gemini and the surrounding hills. The garden and pool are lovely, and we enjoyed a quiet relaxing day beside the pool. The breakfast is brought to you on the terrace and is delicious. Leonardo is a kind and thoughtful host. He was very helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to go and made a reservation for us for dinner at San Gemini which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We had the perfect stay

Thanks to Leonardo our great host for the amazing hospitality and making that place so special. If there would be a 12 points hospitality rating we would have herewith given 12 from 10 points! Thoughtful great recommendations by Leonardo to discover and enjoy Umbria, a lovely place embedded in nature, comfortable and atmosperic rooms, as the whole place. A great breakfast prepared by Nathalia to be enjoyed on the teracce did provide for a perfect start into every day.

Loved everything!

Our stay was exceptional! The property was stunning and we love the family history. Eating tasty breakfast and hiking the hills behind the property we’re a treat. But the absolute best part was our host, Leonardo. He took such care to recommend outings and restaurants that he knew would be memorable and like nothing else we’d seen on our trip. After visiting the ancient city of Rome and getting over whelmed by the hectic traffic and tourists, we wanted escape from the bustle of the city and found this magical place! The villa is what you would imagine old world Italy to be, friendly towns people, simple but tasty foods, and romantic views of green rolling hills, the place simple transports you to a simple and beautiful time. Also the host Leonardo was beyond friendly and amazing, he took the time to make us feel comfortable and even showed us his amazing vintage automotive/motorcycle collection! Can't recommend this place that inspired Narnia enough.

All was wonderful

What drew us to stay at Palombara was the reviews about the attentive, charismatic host. Indeed, Leonardo and his lovely wife, Katerina, were the perfect hosts, informative, welcoming and warm. The marvelous home, cared for by the family since the 13th century (!) was recently restored to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, having it to ourselves most days, our wonderful suite and a carefully prepared breakfast each morning on the verandah served with a smile. So refreshing to stay with someone who loves what they do, open-heartedly shares their home and authentically makes guests feel like welcome friends. Warm thanks to you both for your kindness and effort and making our stay so memorable.

Torre Palombara is a very special place to stay. The care and attention to detail in the interior of the house was exceptional, the feel of the property is perfect. The property is fabulous (splurge on the deluxe room). The area is amazing. Best of all, the proprietor, Leonardo (a reformed lawyer) has a passion for his property (which had been in his family since the 16th century) and his guests. Leonardo will make incredibly helpful recommendations about which villages to visit and which restaurants to eat at (and they will save you the best tables because Leonardo called).
