The view is remarkable...the variety and freshness of breakfast was someting we looked forward to every sunrise. The room was comfortable and well organized, it had everything we needed.

Breakfast was marvelous! The room was spacious and the view was gorgeous. It was quaint and quiet so good for rest as well. The shuttle was also very convenient for us to get to the town proper and back. Giovanni, Fanny and Sabrina were such delightful and helpful hosts! Can't wait to visit again soon!

Views were outstanding, breakfasts were fabulous and set us up for whole day sightseeing and it was so quiet that we could hear the voices of the tour guides on the boats passing below. Don’t worry about the distance from the town as the regular transport provided by the hosts was more than sufficient to get around. We walked down and used the transport to come back up. The hosts could not be any more friendly.

It was up a very significant hill, not walkable for us so we took cabs three times. Thus, we couldn’t just walk around the town and to our hotel. The room was cramped with little room for open suitcases. Hauling our luggage up to our room was daunting on our first night.

A gorgeous view over the sea. Staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to provide transportation. Breakfasts were quite good though almost too much. They worked to provide gluten free options. We felt very safe and secure.

The property is farther out of town than we realized, a 15-20 min walk uphill. This makes going out for dinner, or just going in for a swim, more awkward. They provide a helpful shuttle service every 2 hours. One of the four room doesn’t have an ocean facing balcony—be sure to ask.

Incredible stay! The host was amazing! So helpful & nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really nice! So much food was offered and really set us up for the day of hiking. The shuttle service is really great; fantastic bonus service and the room was comfortable and clean. The surroundings are so peaceful and quiet being outside of the town with an absolutely stunning view of the sea too. Couldn’t have asked for more!

This was a special place in a commanding position the overlooked Monterosso and the Cinque Terre coast - Sabrina the host and her delightful mother were sharing and caring people - breakfast was a real treat - the bus stopped right out the front- Bottomline away from the tourist gaze and classy is what made it special

La Serra Sul Mare was absolutely perfect. Even the glowing reviews of the included breakfast didn’t do it justice, it was a luxury to wake up to a talented, private chefs every morning just steps from our suite. Having a private balcony with sea views also set this stay apart, it gave us so much space to relax compared to smaller rooms that in the bigger cities. The stocked fridge was another excellent touch, it really helped not having to go into town for wine and water after a long day of traveling. There were many easy transportation options, though we opted to walk in and out of town except when arriving and leaving with our luggage. It’s a steeper climb back but very doable, which was kind of nice after finishing a big dinner.

Quite a steep walk from village to La Serra, however hosts run a shuttle service at specific times.

The friendly atmosphere, the stunning views, and general ambience of relaxation were second to none! Sabrina, Cardo ( excuse spelling!) and Francesca helped make our stay memorable. Breakfast each morning, overlooking the sea, was delicious, varied and one of the highlights of our stay.

This was a gorgeous place with an amazing view. The staff were so caring and friendly. They made a delicious breakfast for us and took great care of us. This facility is very clean and comfortable. The location is a little out of the way. The hosts accommodate for that by offering shuttle service and helping to get a taxi. If you want a quiet place to stay out of the main area, this is the place for you!

LOVED this B&B. Everyone was so nice, the breakfast was amazing, the room was beautiful. My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay. Highly recommend. They even provide a shuttle into the village and back to the B&B.

La Serra Sul Mare was the highlight of our two week trip. We were greeted with prosecco and a snack, and we loved how spacious and comfortable our room was. Although set a little outside of the main part of town, the shuttle was incredibly convenient and we were able to use the bus included in the Cinque Terre treno card for part of our stay as well as there is a stop right outside. We loved the quiet and beautiful view of the water from our little patio. The breakfast was huge, delicious and served by a lovely woman. All of the staff was wonderful and hope to come back for another stay sometime in the future!

Being on the hillside meant a bit of planning in terms of coming and going from town.

Lovely staff, spacious rooms, with beautiful views of the water. La Serra Sul Mare is up on the hillside which provides a nice quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Monterosso below. It was about a 15 minute walk down the hill to town but complimentary shuttle rides were provided which was a lovely bonus!
