It is situated up a hill, but still very walkable up and down.

Our room was nice and spacious and clean, with a great view from the balcony. Nina was very accommodating, picking us up from the station on arrival and preparing breakfasts for us.

The B+B is uphill and is not fully accessible by taxis as mentioned in other reviews but we found it easy to get taxis to a certain point and walk the remaining 5 minutes. Nina also offers a shuttle service twice a day either up or down the hill, this was great and we used this almost daily.

The stay at Il Rivolo was amazing. We booked the room with the balcony and were not disappointed. The room was spacious, with excellent aircon and wifi and spectacular views... truly in the heart of the Sorrento hills! What made this stay even better was our host Nina. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Nina is often floating about the B+B which made it really easy to ask questions and she was always there to help. She even offered us some beers and some of her homemade focaccia when her and her family were eating out in their terrace, this was a lovely touch. The B+B is in a remote area in the hills, away from the rush of the Sorrento town, making the stay extremely relaxing and comfortable. There are a few great restaurants nearby that are walkable. On the way back uphill, if we had visited the main town, we found it easier to get taxis back up the hill... it can be quite a climb in the 30 degree heat! We would recommend Il Rivolo to others, a great stay in a beautiful location.

Be prepared to walk a bit. The accommodation is about 15 minute walk from the Center of Sorrento, downhill on the way into the Center but mainly uphill on the way back. But the accommodation does offer a complimentary shuttle

Bit hard to find at first, up a very steep hill, and road was super small (watch for cars and scooters).

Just outside the busy city centre of Sorrento. Apartment was huge, and so comfortable. Nina was amazing. Take advantage of the twice daily shuttles back up to the hotel. Gorgeous views, very peaceful

Hosts were very accommodating and provided a lift from the main area back to our room a number of times. They communicated nicely and were very helpful. Bonus as they dropped us off at the port for our ferry in the morning which saved us 30 Euro so was much appreciated.

Loved everything about this property. Great value for money, perfect location, exceptional apartment - very clean. The cherry on top was the host, Nina and her family are exceptional and made our stay ideal from start to finish. We will be returning and recommend others to visit. Very minimal kitchenette, only 2 mugs, cuttlery, fridge and electric kettle (but when we asked for, we got plates) without sink.

Authentic neighborhood and building, narrow old streets and lemons everywhere. Modern and clean room and bathroom. Very kind owner, free shuttle service from and to the train station. Very good restaurants nearby. To tell the truth, the apartement is 30 minutes walk from the city centre uphill :) We liked it :) The owner adviced free shuttle once per day but we did not want it.

Only the uphill area but they solve it by offering free transfer.

Nina the host and her father were more than perfect. She was always reachable and helpful. She made everything possible. The hotel is on the hill area, so they offered a free transport for the way back. As going downhill was only 10-15 minutes walk to the centre, which was not a problem. If you have a scooter would also be perfect. The accommodation was clean und the room was spacious with a ni e terrace overlooking lemontrees. They offered breakfast on demand for only 6 euros, tasty, fresh and of very good quality. I would definitely love to come back. They even gave me a ride to the station as I was leaving on 6a.m.

Reviews said it’s far and uphill. So what?! It’s so worth it. Your out of the tourist zone and the walk to the flat is just gorgeous. Such a different way to experience Sorrento, we thought. And quite frankly? The walk is not even bad. Do yourself a favor and book this place.

it’s a nice little spot. very cozy, comfy, and surrounded by beautiful views. the breakfast is delicious, especially on the patio with all the greenery. The host is responsive, attentive, and kind. We loved everything about it!

Beautiful location with amazing lemon trees everywhere. Nice common terrace with a great view. Delicious breakfast that was even brought to the room in the morning. Walking distance to the center was very doable (15-20 min). Hostess was really kind and there is a free shuttle service available twice a day to take you to the center!

Nina & her father were the best host I could ask for -- The room was spacious, modern, and clean. While I was initially concerned of the location being on a hill, it did not hinder my stay at the least. The walk into downtown Sorrento is pleasant and takes ~15 minutes. Whenever I needed to head back, if within the shuttle window (6-10 PM), Nina would arrange pick up to bring me back or a taxi was available to take me back. 100% would stay in this B&B again and would recommend to other travelers as well!
