Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSuch a shame that there are so many issues with the way this hotel is run. The breakfast organisation is absolutely woeful. There is a great spa and gym but it’s empty because you have to pay €25 per person per day to use it. (Classic case of not understanding that charging less would increase usage and bring more revenue). The maintenance of the rooms is not good enough for a 4* hotel, and it would be good if the Superior room included a chest of drawers for storage of clothes. In summary I think the owners of the hotel need to pay more attention to what’s going on.
The three positives are the view of the Chaberton mountain, the evening entertainment and the comfort of the beds.

United KingdomBedrooms sizes were a little small for twins but would be ok as a double room. Some rooms had showers some just a jacuzzi bath. However they were clean, beds were comfy and we spent little time in the rooms anyway.
The Breakfast is a real treat, Fresh Fruit, Juice and Pastries as well as Eggs and Bacon. Hotel lobby and bar is really well laid out and comfortable, great friendly staff who made super cocktails. Amazing large wine lounge with large TV for the Rugby. Minibus to take you to Sportinia lift each morning and collect in the afternoons for free SPA for $25 euros a day was a nice bonus as well. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the menu looks good and others dined and enjoyed. A little pricey compared to the main town though.

United KingdomThe room was always too hot and we couldn't turn the heating off/down ourselves. A bar snack menu would also have been useful, they missed out on us ordering things as we didn't know anything was available!
Breakfast was nice but a menu letting us know what was on offer would have been much easier for everyone involved.

SwedenThe most important point of improvement I suggest is the organization of order/delivery for the waiting staff. We experienced confusion both for breakfast and dinner. This is front room basics which should be relatively easy to fix. The furniture in the room facing away from the mountains were somewhat worn (but the room was nice and spacious).
Wonderful location with terrace, lounge and breakfast/dining room facing the mountains. Rustic cosy rooms. Very efficient shuttle to the ski lifts. Nice breakfast menu. Great singer/DJ entertaining in the lounge in the evening. Friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at easy.

United KingdomRooms slightly on the small side, yet made up by an large bathroom. Nothing that concerned us because we spent very little time in the rooms other than sleeping.
The location of the hotel was great to walk into town for dinner, or back from the slopes after apres ski. The free transfer to the lifts took literally 3 minutes and saved a short uphill walk through the town in your ski gear. You could also arrange fro a pick up at the end of the day. The bar service was excellent, the lounge area is very chilled with a live singer every night and superb antipasti. Breakfast was great, you can pretty much ask for what you like. The view from breakfast is stunning.

I stayed at the end of the season and experienced a very nice and attentive service. The breakfast was great with individual service to my place including stambled eggs, fresh orange juice and freshly brewed coffee. The spa was a unforgettable experience with five different baths all for me alone.

United KingdomThis is a hard review to write, and not one I would ever want to. But I feel it important to warn others. If I can avoid you having a similar experience, this is worthwhile. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. I’m a frequent traveller who is very happy in both fancy and humble hotels. This was a different experience. The room was tiny (smaller than photos), no privacy at all for guests. The spa cost extra, and smelt of urine. And - worst of all - I got bitten by bed bugs, causing a severe allergic reaction, then abused by the manager. Now, you might say bed bugs could be a one off. Perhaps. The issue was, when my partner and I raised this with staff, it wasn’t taken very seriously. There was barely an apology, except for the cleaning staff who was helpful and gave me some steroid cream to help. It was clear this happens a lot… When we asked for reasonable compensation - three days of our trip ruined by having to apply cream - the manager refused and got extremely abusive. He threatened us, and even tried to get us to sign a hastily written NDA (!) to not write a bad review. We refused, and did eventually reach an agreement with the hotel and Booking.com. But then, after we left, the manager backed out and repeated multiple lies about the trip. I could write more - and I suspect the hotel will reply to this review with another pack of lies. I’m just glad my rashes have now (finally) cleared up. But - all in all - this was an awful experience, one I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. The location is nice, but just go stay elsewhere where you have some privacy, it doesn’t smell of urine, and you won’t get bitten by bed bugs, or abused.

United KingdomThe only thing I would have liked to see was a menu at breakfast, whilst they had all sorts available and it was all delicious it would have been nice to see a menu to choose from.
Beautiful location, quiet and stunning views! The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. They had a shuttle bus to the ski lifts which was amazing and there when ever we needed it. This was not advertised so a real bonus.

United KingdomThey had a problem on Sunday morning breakfast. We waited so much to get a simple yogurt and our green tea. Staff was running around apparently without a goal. Probably they were not so experienced staff and they couldn't manage by themselves the tables. Maybe it was just a bad case, otherwise they need to organize better this service, maybe putting some breakfast staff in a well organized buffet, without giving up to the a la carte menu for eggs, fruit and some other stuff.
Hotel owners/managers were really kind and nice. All the staff too. The place is nice, very well designed and comfortable for our stay. They have a particular care for the pets in general and this is not so common elsewhere.
