How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

2 little points of improvement: missing fresh fruit at breakfast and freshly brewed coffee
the room was perfect - we got a free upgrade which we much appreciated! the little terrace was very nice to have the whole b&b is very nicely decorated host was very friendly - replied quickly to our messages the b&b is very clean the breakfast was very good

Excellent B&B. The owners were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good, the rooms were spacious and the bed was really comfy. The location is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre which meant it was very quiet. I would happily stay again.

As mentioned, just the bed. Everything else was fabulous!
The location was fabulous. We were able to park within a block of the venue each night. We walked to dinner venues and could have walked to the old town as well the first day. Our room was a nice size and the same with the bathroom. I'd give it a 10/10 except that the bed was not the most comfortable. Adriano gave us excellent directions on check-in, makes a mean cappuccino in the morning, and was great to chat with! He also gave us some excellent dinner suggestions. If we are ever back in Lecce we will try to stay again, but be forewarned -they are popular and rooms are hard to come by, and for good reason.

Nothing to complain about :-)
Loved this place - really friendly/helpful couple running it, spotlessly clean and everything worked. Breakfast was typical continental style, with plenty of pastries, fruits, cold meat etc (and excellent cappuccino...). Most of all, I liked the decor: kind of up-market 'shabby chic', it was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into it. The B&B is located in a mostly quiet street about a 15 minute stroll from the very centre of Lecce, so good for sightseeing, etc.

Great place with great owners, located within walking distance of the city center and all the attractions. The room was comfortable and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was very neat and had everything we needed. And the breakfast? The breakfast was superb - varied, plentiful, with offerings to suit all tastes. The coffee they made made me fall in love with the Italian cappuccino :) The room even had a very nice compliment for us :) Thank you Alex and Laura, we will be back for sure!

Not the fault of the owners, but a neighbour upstairs was talking loudly until about 1am.
Communicative and friendly owners making sure that they were there for my arrival. Comfortable room, modern clean and with a kettle and tea making facilities :-). The breakfast looked great, but I only had time for a coffee. Also, the b&b is near the historic centre but in a residential area, which gives you access to non-touristy shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.

just be aware there is 10-15 min walking to the center. Nothing particular in the stay.
newly decorated and very clean. it has everything you need with good quality. They left even a gift on the bed. Breakfast was also okay.

No common living room available.
Don't feel intimidated by the general looking of the building and the neighborhood. The B&B is freshly decorated and the rooms are looking great. Amenities, Bath, Bed comfort, Breakfast and closed parking were all great! Adriano was a great host! Thank you.

Big and comfortable room and nice bathroom. Everything was really clean. Good breakfast. The location is perfect (15min to the center). You can park near accommodation (public parking in the street) but you will need a little luck to find a spot. The best way is to pay with application Easy Park. Good value for the price.

The noise. I am not a light sleeper but the noise in the room was too much for me and my partener. We stayed 4 nights, and durint 3 we had problems with the noise. The owner was helpful about it meanung that he tried to call the lady from the apartment above. The problem is that there is no noise insulation whatsoever in this building, meanung that you can hear from the room every single thing that is happening in the building- from the staircase to the back garden to the floor above. The first night was ok but in the morning if there is anybody in the halleay and they are speaking, it seems that they are next to your bed. During the third night, there was a party upstairs and people kept moving furniture around. Also during the last night someone was watching tv really loud, as they were in the room with us. I am sorry to give such a bad review but the first thing i have in mind with a hotel is being able to sleep.
It is at 9 min walking distance from the center of Lecce. It was clean. The room has a nice setting and it is confortable. Also the breakfast was very good (as all italy - mainly pastry)
