We did walk to the ski lift every day and it took about 10-15 minutes. We ended up storing the skiis at the rental place. We did not mind it but would have been harder with young children

When we arrived the room was very cold because the heater was not working and the guy at the reception was not very helpful, but at the end everything was sorted.

Such a lovely hotel, clean, well presented, with a lovely breakfast every morning. The owner was truly lovely, so welcoming & helpful. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes from everything really, the train station, bus station, town & access to all chair lifts/funicular to Seceda & Alpe di Suisi. Just perfect!

The room was very small (I had to put my bag in the armoire because two bags wouldn’t fit on the floor). The bathroom had no way to block visibility above the waist through the window.

The breakfast was great, with many different options. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room had a small balcony that was perfect to get some fresh air. The location to downtown and the bus to other nearby areas was very close. I would stay again solo!

We got a room facing the mountain side, the view is nice. The area is quiet that we can even sleep with open windows. The breakfast is really good, with fresh vegetables, musli, fruit and breads. The location is very close to the center and 🚠. We got free bus tickets and Sauna tickets.

Our room was somewhat on the small side. But that said, it was immaculately clean and well furnished and the shower room was modern and smart.

Hotel Fortuna is an immaculately clean bed-and-breakfast hotel situated a short walk from the centre of Ortisei (St Ulrich). The property is furnished to a high standard; there is car parking beneath the hotel, up a narrow access road; the staff and proprietor are lovely. This is a great hotel to stay at if you wish to visit the very picturesque village of Ortisei in Val Gardena, but do not wish to pay the (very) high prices of the better-known hotels in the centre of the village.

Walls can be pretty thin so you'll hear people walking/banging in mornings when they're awake but you're not.

Our wonderful host was so welcoming and made my boyfriend & I feel right at home. She was always around for breakfast to chit chat and was accommodating for our needs (we asked if she could refridgerate our leftovers from dinner one night). She and her son were the ones truly running the show each & every day at the hotel, so it was intimate and a family atmosphere rather than big showy hotel staff.

The lift stopped at 3rd floor. We had to lug our luggages up the a spiral stairs which is quite a task for us. Also, the attic room given to us was small. But it is comfortable and the view from the window is nice.

The operator, Melita is helpful and nice. Breakfast spread has good varieties. Close to the main town.

The location in town is perfect, the accommodations are fabulously equipped and comfortable. The staff are friendly, informative and this stay was our favorite 3-day portion of our trip. We would highly recommend it!

The place is in foot reach to the ski lifts, you can get ski rental discount, free ski bus tickets (not really needed) and free swimming and spa complex tickets. There is an inner garage. Despite lack of large variety of hot dishes, the breakfast was exceptionally rich for a 3 star hotel. We were also surprised by a full sized bath in the room. The personnel is friendly and helpful like in 5 star hotel.

Oh my goodness where do I start. First, when we had trouble locating the hotel garage (direction was fine but we messed up) the hotel employee actually got in our car and directed us to the garage! Talk about service. Location was right in town close to everything yet super quiet. Decor inside and outside in patio/lounge area was gorgeous. Breakfast is terrific. Same hotel employee made sure to tell us where to hike and wrote down directions to drive to our next destination without us even asking. If I lived in this town, I would hire her. Lastly, very clean hotel and even our balcony chairs were spotless. Great views. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful stay at Fortuna. Our host was so friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The location was great and the accommodation was very clean. The breakfast had a very nice selection as well. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!
