Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had issues with an apparent additional tax that was not included in booking.com (we did not pay for this and it was not required by booking.com) we had to deal with the daytime manager Umar on this matter. We found him to generally be rude, so much so my partner would discuss matters with him because he made us feel so uncomfortable. It’s lucky that there are a number of other great employees as our experience and scoring would have been significantly lower based on dealings only with the daytime manager. Further there were a number of messages regarding train station pick up that were confusing, misleading and unfortunately created a stressful end to a long journey.
The property was kept incredibly clean and tidy. Our stay was particularly made better by a few of the employees - Mandan, Mohammad and Jabbah - thank you! They were super helpful and made our stay at Suryaa enjoyable with their effort and kindness.

United KingdomNothing, just a lovely heritage hotel with lovely staff.
The staff were absolutely lovely, they played with my 5 year old son out in the courtyard & couldn't have been nicer! The room was nice & spacious with a really nice bathroom. In walking distance to a couple nice bars/ cafes and Bar Palladio is only a short tuk tuk ride away. The pool was great for a cool dip after a hectic day in Jaipur.

Quite a small Heritage hotel.well placed along a quiet side road , but easy access to all the sights. All the staff were extremely helpful, our room was very nice and quite comfortable, with a good bathroom, the room is quite basic but this did not detract from the pleasure of our stay. The food was excellent, and you eat in the small courtyard by the pool.We had dinner here two nights instead of going out as it was so good.Excellent breakfast as well.Large sun terrace on the roof which was nice late afternoon.

United KingdomI completely understand that foreigners should be charged higher prices, however when the hotel charges a 10x premium to book you a taxi vs what it costs if you book it yourself is not on.
Comfortable room, nice pool and rooftop.

SwitzerlandThere is nothing we didn't like.
The hotel is very well located in a quiet neighbourhood. All tourist destinations are easily accessible by tutuk. The staff is very helpful and gives good information. We can only recommend the pick-up from the airport or train station with the hotel's own taxi.

United KingdomPool was cold and really unusable. No loungers. The staff are sweet but The absent management are hopeless. I booked 4 nights and after 2 my safe and tv were locked. I had to get staff to sort this out and the safe caused aggro as needed to pay for something online. Just absurd decision by management. The check out was terrible. No staff on reception. In the end a waiter had to try and work the card machine. Wasted 20 minutes. No excuse
Good , safe location. Nice room and public spaces

United KingdomWe took a deluxe suite with double bed + 1 single bed. Room was spacious. The single bed, could be improved with its bedding and quality. It was creaking and shaky. Amenities could be improved. We carried our own toiletries, however hotel could provide for disposable tooth brush and paste. Shower head needs cleaning, and re-adjust the pressure. Water was trickling and leaking. Suggestion: Keep spare bin bags in the room.As I travelled with a baby, soiled diaper needed to be disposed. However staff was long enough to collect it everyday. Fridge could be stocked with soft drinks and juices. Can be charged on vacating the room.
The ambience was beautiful. Warmth and initiate , as a home. Centrally located from heritage sites ( Pink City) Easy access to Meena Bazaar , traditional restaurants and also fusion restaurants.

United StatesI had two rooms booked. In one of them, the bathroom had a foul smell on the second day of our stay. The staff did clean/rectify it but I didnt expect something like that to happen. Also, there is a property across the street that plays loud music after 10pm which is inconvenient to say the least
The hotel itself is very beautiful. The rooms are large and spacious. Highly rate the food - delicious and good variety. Helpful staff

AustraliaWould be better if the shower was fixed in our room as the water sprayed everywhere and the bathroom was very wet. Hot water takes a long time to flow but was good in the end.
Comfortable, hotel in a quiet location - away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. Serene garden and verandahs overlooking the pool great for relaxing in. Breakfast was not included but the menu picks were reasonably priced - I did not think the buffet was worth the money though. The reception organised a car for us for a day tour and a trip to Agra which was very convenient though perhaps shop around for competitive pricing just to be sure. Would recommend this hotel just for the peace and quiet!

New ZealandYou need a tuktuk to get out and about in Jaipur as this place is not 'in the heart' of anything. This was easily arranged for us though!
Rooms spacious, beds BIG, bathrooms lovely. We ate in-house for breakfast and some dinners and we liked their food. We paid more here for laundry and food than in other Hotels in India but we still enjoyed our stay. Concierge very helpful and spoke great English.

United KingdomI was more than satisfied. Sometimes there was music from a neighbouring hotel, but I quite enjoyed this - it was better than traffic noise in other hotels we stayed at.
1. The hotel’s location. It was a calm oasis in a city where there is a constant roar of traffic and beeping of horns. This hotel was slightly set back from this, offering peace, safety crossing roads and a generally more safe feeling environment. There are a couple of other hotels and restaurants surrounding it, offering great food and a relaxing drink. 2. The staff were helpful, courteous and professional at all times. The hotel has a very ‘family run’ feel to it, which made you feel part of it and included. They also offered cookery demonstrations, Bhangra dancing and even yoga on some days. 3. It was all very clean, with a hot shower. The roof garden was lovely, we watched the kite flying contests from all the different rooftops. The kitchen staff offered food and drinks up there, which was all a great ending to our stay in Jaipur.
