How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They didn’t enforce a quiet time at night. The management allowed guests to talk loudly in halls outside rooms until 2 AM
Very clean and proper for a Hostel with some shared facilities. Location was great. Right close to old city and also close to commercial areas

The hotel was very comfortable. The breakfast is very complete and varied. The location is very central so it is easy to get to the most important points of the city. The room was very clean and spacious. Very friendly staff willing to answer any question.

Nice quiet room, even got an upgrade. enough space. hostel ist super close to the old town. tram 50 meters away staff was really nice and helpful, also resolved an issue with an travelling agency did 2 tours as well ith the hostel. really nice and recommendable breakfast was good.m

Room was very small and compact but comfortable. Very expensive for a hostel. Our room was quite noisy as the window was only single glazing and we were on the side of the property that lined a busy street.
Stayed for 2 nights. Location is excellent, a short walk from a number of bars and restaurants and the Old City, as well as City Hall tram stop which made it easy to get to the airport and Tel Aviv. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

We found it a little difficult getting information, although staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we would get direct answers to questions rather than suggestions (in regards to getting around during shabbat).
The breakfast was lovely! Location was great and staff were friendly - 24 hour checkin was very helpful for us!

Just a quick cleaning service in the air-conditioner, it would help with my allergies.
The breakfast was amazing! Location close to all important spots and super easy to reach, the staff in the reception couldn't be more helpful.

Bathroom could be cleaner and needs new shower seals ect. There is some mold in the shower. Also tv sound was set really low volume that if you had the shower light and fan on you could not hear anything.
Friendly employees. And good location in 3 minutes you are at the new gate of the old city.

Hostel is 5 minutes from Old city and main Ben Yehuda street and also next to L1 light metro line which goes straight to the central train station. Yishak Navon.We booked own room with toilet ,the room is great.Hostel is very big and have everything you need with a great terace and view, big living room,dining place,colosal TV,bar where you can order drink etc.Breakfast is also good with eggs,susaka,cheese,marmelade etc.People on reception are very nice and ready to help you.Hostel have also excursion options but we didnt use it.

Breakfast its too early should be up to 10 am at least. Internet most of the times was slow or even down specially at night when more people were in the property.

I have no negative remarks about The Post to be honest.
I loved the location of The Post Hostel Jerusalem. It's located near Jaffa Street, meaning you are not only close to everything, but also have the most stunning view from the rooftop terrace. All facilities are great, we had a two person room and had everything we needed. Check-in is flexible. The staff was helpful as well when I wanted to use the washing machine. Overall very, very positive. Would recommend to everyone!

Our room walls definitely can use some fresh paint job.

Our room was small and a bit dark. Cleanliness could be improved. The entrance to the Hostel is not particularly pleasing to the eye and can be difficult to spot at first. Receptionists were very nice, but there was always only one of them, which had to serve both at the reception and at the bar, making it difficult to catch them. We had breakfast at the Hostel only once and we were not particularly impressed: coffee was only soluble and there was very little choice for a sweet breakfast (if you like savory, then choice was more than enough).
The location is ideal and the terrace is absolutely stunning. We could leave our luggage in a locker room after the check-out, which was very convenient. If you need a hairdryer, you can ask for one at the reception.

The mezzanine bed is not great for tall people, ceiling is very low and it can be a bit tricky to go down at night if you need the bathroom. Also you can’t control the AC from the mezzanine bed which is not great when it gets hot at night

The room was nice, but there was a bad smell in it.
Affordable price in Jerusalem and excellent location. We got private room with private bathroom, it was comfortable.
