Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelWe stayed at the hotel for a family gathering, including three families with young children. The rooms were decent, clean and comfortable, if basic. The common areas were great with a beautiful lawn, nice common sitting areas indoors and outdoors. The bar was also very nice.

IsraelThe water in the shower wasn't so hot in general, so when I took a shower late at night I didn't have hot water
The place has very good vibes, I could bring my dogs with no problem and the room was clean and esthetic with a nice balcony and very nice grass on the first floor. The breakfast was great and versatile.

IsraelThe only thing we didn't like was the plastic plates and cutlery at breakfast. Why are we still using plastic in this day and age? The breakfast pans and dishes need to be washed, so why not wash a few plates and knives and forks? I'm sure it would work out cheaper in the long run too. Occasionally a plate might break, but plastic stuff costs money too.
The staff were very nice and we received our room within minutes. The room wasn't as basic as we expected. It was spacious and clean and we had a lovely balcony. The breakfast was excellent too!

IsraelThe rooms are a bit old, the bathroom's floor was all wet when we arrived. But it was ok. Did not really bother us.
The hotel is located on a hill with an amazing view. Very quiet and beautiful. The staff was super welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

IsraelThe rooms are a little bit shabby, and I think the breakfast could be improved. Not worth ₪85 pp. I also feel that for a hostel style room, ₪722 for one night seemed beyond excessive.
I’ll start off by writing what I liked: Firstly, the property itself is breathtakingly beautiful. The rolling lush grounds are incredible, as well as the funky, bohemian style furniture and decor. The place has a very groovy, boho vibe to it which I loved. Also great were the staff- super accommodating, friendly and helpful. Kudos to Amir and Daniel for going the extra mile. There is a small outdoor pool on the grounds and that was very entertaining for my small child. At the time we went there were loads of families which, if you’re looking for a family friendly place- this definitely is a good option. Our bathroom was newly renovated, modern and tastefully designed. The indoor pool is a short one minute walk from the lobby and very nice. It’s attached to a country club with its own kiosk and nice outdoor green area. In the evening there were delicious complementary cocktails- that was really a nice touch!

United Arab EmiratesI gave a nine out of ten because of the location. If you will take the bus, it will take approx 45 mins to reach Jerusalem. And by taxi, maybe 25 mins but it will be expensive! We did not bother the location at first cos we followed the bus timings but unfortunately, we missed the last bus going up the area so we had to take a taxi. Overall, it is still worth it!
Thank you to Ahmet for introducing us this wonderful hotel! All the staff were friendly and happy to help us with what we need. The breakfast and dinner was always amazing, we miss the food so much. The room is very comfy, we got the family room that is more spacious than we expect and needed.

IsraelQuite far from places of entertainment and restaurants in Ein KAREM or Jerusalem. Steep stairs up to the lobby. No dining room and the lobby is tiny. Guests can pick up breakfast from the bar and eat in the garden. Rooms are not soundproof, could hear everything going on in adjacent rooms and corridor. Recommended to add "do not disturb signs".
Location is high up in the Jerusalem mountains with spectacular views. Hotel is small but cute and has a good/bohemian vibe. Guests can use the indoor swimming pool at the YAARIM Hotel which is just nearby. My room was spacious and had an adjoining balcony. The receptionist (Amir) was very kind and helpful and the breakfast was tasty.

United KingdomWe booked mid-week so it was significantly cheaper, but I don't think the weekend prices are justified.
Selina are great at creating a good vibe for its guests. The hostel is set in a beautiful location and there is plenty of outdoor space for chilling. Our room was comfortable and clean but nothing special. The welcome drink was lovely. Selina is a welcome change to the regular hotel/hostel scene.

United States of AmericaThe window in the shower, perhaps should have some semi transparent covering for privacy. The lower floor rooms are a bit rough and need new flooring but we didn’t stay there. This establishment should hire someone to remove the trash that accumulates in the parking area since this cheapens, the overall aesthetic, which is otherwise really nice. Finally, be careful about returning after midnight, since there is a gate that lowers down, preventing the inflow of traffic to access the lodging area.
I would highly recommend the second floor upgraded rooms since they are more consistent with what foreigners traveling to this area would expect. The staff was absolutely amazing and incredibly accommodating and friendly. The hotel atmosphere is one that is very relaxed and a bit bohemian in a wonderful way. The views in the breeze are incredible and Daniel from Brazil originally makes absolutely wonderful cappuccinos. The breakfast is typical Israeli breakfast, but if you want something really special, there is a nearby restaurant less than 500 m away.

IsraelThe rooms are old not well maintained and breakfast was poor. In addition, the breakfast area wasn't managed well and bees were flying around us while staff didn't make much effort to handle the situation (e.g., didn't cover trash bins near the seating area). Also, dogs were allowed unleashed and that is even illegal but certainly makes us feel uncomfortable.
The location and surroundings are great to those wanting to enjoy this area or need to be in an event near by (e.g., a wedding in Bustan Abu Gosh).
