How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great Location in Split within walking distance too all the attractions, restaurants and bars ....what more could you ask for ....Great Apartment, had everything we needed to have a great stay and a fantastic holiday too

The location, facilities, cleanliness. The flat is lovely, I like the layout and the fact that the bedroom is upstairs. It has everything one needs, Frane has thought of all the little details. He is a great host, very helpful and friendly.

The apartment is in excellent location just a few minutes away from the old town, grocery stores and restaurants. The apartment also includes everything you might need during the stay, and even more :D The host was very helpful and gave us good hints about Split and surroundings. Definitely recommend.

Really clean and modern apartment in a quiet area of the center of Split (pedestrian street next-door, no cars around), 5-10 mins walking from the Palace and other main attractions. Our host, Frane, was very helpful and gave us a brief description of the main highlights of the city and also a tour of the apt; really easy to communicate with him also. Highly recommend!

AMAZING STAY. the apartment is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. It has a GREAT LOCATION right near the palace. it is very modern, extremely clean, and well equipped with anything you would ever need for vacation. Frane the host is super nice and accommodating, he took the time to show the apartment and give recommendations and told us to call him with any questions.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, maybe a new matrice should be considered. The wall insulations are a bit too thin, so you hear every steps of your neighbours.
Cosy little apartment in the heart of Split's old town. Everything is available within 10-15 mins walk. Framen, our host was really kind and helpful, he gave us good recommendations, what and when to visit in Split. In case you spend the 90% of your time in the city, then I'd highly recommend to stay at this apt.

great location, less than 10m walk to the port. Frane and Slaven were great at keeping in contact and giving us the information we needed to get around.

Excellent location. Extremely clean. Lots of extra touches that made a huge difference - bottles of water, some biscuits, coffee, sugar, salt. Arriving late at night he provided a service to collect us from Split airport, 30 minutes away for a very reasonable charge. We can't recommend Apartment Kokolo highly enough.

The only (minor) downside of the apartment was the couch inside, which was a bit too hard for us, and the outside seating area, which was a bit small. But everything else: perfect!
The location was spot on, as well as the facilities. The host took care of everything and made us feel welcome. In the apartment you’d find everything you need. When we were going to sleep we heard nothing of the busy city, what made us sleep very well!

The bathroom is a bit small but definitely manageable and certainly no deal-breaker. The stairs from the living room to bedroom are narrow and it is not advisable to carry very heavy bags up. Recommend leaving them downstairs and carrying only what you need upstairs in to the bathroom/bedroom.
Exceptionally well equipped compact apartment and the host has really thought of everything to make sure it is an extremely comfortable stay, just like home. Very friendly, kind and helpful host. Everything worked perfectly, including the much needed washer!

Apartament is in a great location, looks cool and is perfectly equipped - there was much more than we expected. The host is very helpful, he gave us lots of useful hints regarding our stay in Split and welcomed us with a cold water and some fruit, what was super nice, especially because we arrived on Sunday evening, when the shops were closed already. Our stay was amazing and I, together with my two friends definetely recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Split.
